First I must say the meaning of Islam is complete submission to the one true G-d. Also part of the verse they speak before they read in the Quran is "it is you we seek for help", further Israel is considered as "People of the Book".

If Israel is the "People of the Book" then what do arabs have? If the Quran is all they have then many are left to their own devices which we see can have devastating effects...

With such lost souls clinging to what they view as holy they seem to be open targets for recruitment tactics such as "you will recieve 70 virgins when you become a martyr for the jihad".

How unfortunate so many are brainwashed like this... If those celebrations of the WTC/Pentagon bombings, such deep-seated hatred and low veiws of life itself, are any indication... Probably yes this is just the beginning of the attacks... but doubtful if they succeed, yet they shown they are extremely resourceful and there may be plenty of "sleepers" ready to strike when given notice and method of attack.

But come on now can they ever really win? The answer a resounding NO!

I forget we're talking about the U.S. here... It is possible for further devastation if the President doesn't consider the options carefully.

I know extreme caution must be taken, the ottoman empire old and weakening fell somewhat easily not even a century ago, but Islam is an entirely different entity steadily gaining adherants, despite being splintered by the allied victory, this massive seemingly sturdy religion unites the region together once again.

I understand the President is taking proper steps befitting a superpower to avoid insulting these people by identifying an individual(bin laden) and his groups(albeit information provided by neighboring countries in the region) but I see some great intimidation or else why would the U.S. who had just been a victim in a heinious act to humanity would support terrorists?

It was unthinkable that colin powell asked for peres and arafat to meet. It was unspeakable that the palestinians offered to aid the U.S. as they celebrated the attacks see: http://www.jpost.com/Editions/2001/09/16/News/News.34869.html

If the U.S would press Israel to meet with terrorists, then I fear they may consider aid offered by palestine and with such display of lack of discernment assistance from other terrorists which may give a venomous blow that may be unrecoverable. Not even rome lasted forever.
