GAZA, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- Offices of Al-Arabiya TV channel in Gaza was rocked by huge explosion on Monday night, causing no casualties, witnesses said. Unknown militants detonated a bomb and destroyed the entrance of the Saudi Arabian al-Arabiya Satellite Television on the 12thfloor of one of Gaza City buildings, witnesses said.
The witnesses also said that a huge explosion was heard on the12th floor, adding that it was a result of a bomb that was detonated at the entrance of the channel's Gaza bureau.
Security forces as well as ambulances and firefighters arrived at the scene. No injuries were reported, because there was nobody into the office, but severe damage was caused to the door of the flat, where the al-Arabiya bureau is.
The 15-floor building in Gaza City's downtown contains also bureaus of several Arab and international television networks, as well as news agencies and local Radio stations.
The security sources said that no one was present into al-Arabiya bureau on the 12th floor, after the reporters and employees at the office had received phone calls threats from unknown individuals few days ago.
Al-Arabia Satellite Television station broadcasted a week ago a recorded sound of Hamas-led government Premier Ismail Haneya, saying that "even if Allah (God) gave us orders, would never make concessions."
Hamas movement's spokesmen had immediately condemned the broadcast of the recorded sound, and denied that Haneya had made such statements. The movement vowed to sue the Saudi Arabian Channel based in Dubai.
The police and security forces opened immediate investigation following the attack, which was considered by local journalists and reporters as "a very dangerous action against journalists and journalism."

Ah, and I also think that these people claim that the 15 story building is part of a refugee camp...pretty hi-tech refugee camp, eh?
What is this new Arab-led peace initiative I've been hearing about? Another non-starter with right of return and 105% of the WB back?

You'll also notice that these people in the so-called refugee camps have satelite TV(how else could they watch Al Manar), computers and internet and enough money to buy expensive weapons. But according to good ole Jimmy Carter, the Palestinians are in worse shape than the Rawandans and people in Darfur LOLOLOL.

Palestinian refugee camps are bad neighborhoods that contain Palestinians who are surrounded and managed by other Palestinians living nearby. We would call them urban projects.

Strange how you don't get paid but humanitarian/economical aid since Hamas came to power has increased over 10%. I wonder who is getting that money?
The security barrier is doing it's job and results in the Palestinians fighting against eachother. Better that way than against Israel. Fix your own problems.

Who do you think is paying for her computer and internet service? For "oppressed" people in the worst humanitarian situation in the world(according to Jimmy C) they sure do alright for themselves. I wonder how many people in the Sudan are using the internet these days?

Comeon, Sudan is a completely different situation. These non-Muslims ACTUALLY are displaced in refugee camps, as in tents, and ACTUALLY are oppressed by the ruling muslim party, which I can't say for the Palestinians living in concrete 3-15 story 'refugee camps' whom are the largest recipients of humanitarian/economical aid/grants/freebies in the world and still complain.

Who in the end really cares? Give all the Palestinians shiny new roofing hammers and let them hack and butcher each other unto the last man standing. As if there's a way to stop that from happening.
A friend of mine was once shocked to hear that someone we know was cheating on her husband and then lied about to this person. Why? That's their nature; liars lie, cheaters cheat. In 30 years the 30th "unity government" of the Palestinians will be squabbling over who gets to kill whom. It's their nature. Give a man a fish you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish you make him self sufficient. Give a Palestinian a rake, he'll beat you to death with it. It's part of their 'swords and plowshares are equally useful weapons' program.

No, I wouldn't. Does it matter? It's a war, us vs. them. They want our land because they think it theirs. And if not for the leftist scum, they'd been kicked out to Arab countries a long time ago, and this conflict would've been over.

i believe that the jews will and have always had the right to israel
however, the fact is , when we came in, we did kick out a number of arabs, and we did technically take their land
why would they want to move to other arab countries such as jordan
the reason not all of the arabs left for jordan was because they had homes were israel is today....
the arabs who had family's there for years wouldn't want to leave.....
you say our land, bit what about the land which wasn't ours, the land we did not purchase..... how can you say they believe our land is theirs, when it was theirs?
im not here to bash Israel, i love Israel and i am coming over for the football match against england, i am English, yet i will be supporting Israel
but this conflict is not just down to the wrong doings of the Arabs

I have two questions for you.
First: Do you want us to be proud of you for supporting your own people in a fotball match against a people that has been oppressing you for thousands of years? Do you want a clap on your shoulder for yelling "yay Israel" and not "yay England" when you're a Jew and England is a country where hatred against Jews is extremely widespread and only increasing? All I can say is that this non-Jew is not very impressed. I wouldn't even be impressed if you left your comfortable home in England and fought alongside your people for your survival. That's what you'd expect.
Second: Aren't you ashamed of yourself that you call yourself a Zionist and have no clue abour Israel's history? Jews "took" nobody's land. A country named Palestine has never existed. The land of Israel belongs to Jews in every single way.
I would really love for you to elaborate more on this stealing of real estate though. Exactly from which Palestinian cities or towns did Jews throw out Arabs? Tel Aviv? Yeah right, there were millions of Arabs living there when the Jews invaded the land and threw them out... I'm just dying for you to teach us more about Israel's history, you being a Zionist and all.

You're right, it's not. It's about a real estate dispute. Ever seen two neighbors dispute the boundaries of their backyards and getting nasty about it? Well, that's what we have here, only on a slightly bigger scale. So what's your point, really? That some 40,000 Arabs from Lod were told to go join their brethren in Syria and Jordan after the said brethren of theirs launched a war against Israel?

listen kettlewhistle, as much as i wish it was the case, israel is no angel
although i believe the arabs were unreasonable, since 80% of the mandate went to create jordan, and when we want a state they go mad...thats racism
but the truth is regardless, we kicked a number out, yes a lot fled thinking the arab armys would win and kill all the jews, but still we kicked out many arabs and took the land they and there family's lived on
come on, lets be honest...how can you say we didnt take any of their land, even though it was never called palestine there was still an arab identity and a majority, forget the majority, even one family....for example, if they had lived on a specific area, had a house etc we came and took it
and please dont be rude, i am not offending you, i am not a left winger either, im just being objective, and i can see both sides to the story
mossad
02-25-2007, 08:50 AM
No you can't. You have lots of learning to do before you can be "objective" here.

Then read up a bit on Israel's history. Arabs didn't live in or care about Israel before Jews came. The land was worth nothing. It was a desert. They're not upset because they got thrown out. They moved so that their fellow Arabs could drown all Jews in the sea. What is utterly wrong however, is the situation of the Jewish refugees. Have you any idea what the Muslim states did to them? The Arabs moved perhaps a few miles with their own cultural friends. The Jews had to flee thousands of miles a totally new country without any security. That's wrong. And that's what you should be protesting against, not the Palestinian "refugees".
