Bibi Still "The man" on TV

I heard him speak at a shul recently.

The problem with him, however, is that he comes through as narcissistic. The pronoun "I" is the most frequently used word in his vocabulary.

He is ambitious - this is good. But he seems to be way too ambitious for his own good and the good of Israel. That's too bad because he is so talented.

Here is another shocker for you. I am dead sure very few Sinkaporeans know this issue. But this issue has been hot news for more than a decade in the US and Israel. The issue is about Jonathan Pollard, an American Jew, who betrayed his own country, the United States of America – by secretly stealing highly classified info and passing it to Israel.

What shocks most Americans is the way Pollard and the rest of Israel sees the whole issue. Instead of admitting Pollard committed treason, it was portrayed that Israel had the right to obtain the classified info from the US by means of espionage as committed by Pollard!

Furthermore, on May 12, 1998, Israel formally acknowledged Jonathan Pollard had been a bona fide Israeli agent. This fact wiped out any remaining doubt about Jonathan Pollard's motives. Being an official agent is, by definition, the polar opposite of being a mercenary.

In 1985, his actions were discovered by the U.S. government. His instructions from Israel were to seek refuge in the Israeli embassy in Washington. When Pollard and his former wife sought refuge there, they were at first received and then summarily thrown out into the waiting arms of the FBI.

Jonathan Pollard never had a trial. At the request of both the U.S. and Israeli governments, he entered into a plea agreement, which spared both governments a long, difficult, expensive and potentially embarrassing trial.

The above shows a very worrying trend about the mindset of Jews, who work in American institutions – including arms of the govt. They are more interested in the welfare of Israel, than US itself.

Pollard:

Actually he's held downstate from me at the Federal unit in Butner, NC.

Pollard made the cardinal sin of violating the terms of his own plea bargain by going ballistic on the media about how he was being railroaded. This was the one thing the Govt told him not to do. And it had a large part in his sentencing. He has also been a VERY difficult prisoner constantly writing letters to complain about everything from the quality of the bedsheets to the food and his general treatment. He frequently refuses to cooperate and this does not endear him to anyone.

There was no trial because of the plea bargain.

What Pollard did was pass classified information to the Israelis. He never claimed that he did not. He did not do it for money (maybe for fame ~~). And received a sentence (see above) that was much more harsh than similar cases have received which usually run in the 10-20 year range.

Wildly inaccuracurate propaganda is a wonderful thing. It's so easy to refute. I think you will find your stay here uncomfortable because we are much better informed than you are.
