World leaders and Lebanese politicians have condemned the bomb attack that killed an anti-Syrian Lebanese MP in a mainly Christian suburb of Beirut. Antoine Ghanim, of the Maronite Phalange party, died with at least six others in the Sin al-Fil district.

US President George W Bush said the killing was "horrific", while a host of Lebanese politicians blamed Syria for the bomb.

This will never stop until they (whoever) start doing the same to Syrian politicians, maybe even to Assad himself. But if not to them, then at least to the pro Syrian politicians in Lebanon. Then they will get the message that two can play the same game and fear for their own lives will do wonders to get them to re-assess their methods ....

It is sad, but true. They need to fight back, in the same fashion. Nassralllah. Boom. Aoun. Boom. Lahoud (is he the pro-Syrian president, or is that Saniora?) Boom. Or at least lesser parliamentarians.

It's terrible.... but when it's kill or be killed, you fight, or you die. And all we're seeing is dying.

"It's terrible.... but when it's kill or be killed, you fight, or you die. And all we're seeing is dying."

When dealing with cultural enemies, there should be no law, no compassion, no mercy.
They are without worth, outside the appropriate application of moral restraint, and should be treated with the same "compassion" we give a virus.

"Or at least lesser parliamentarians."

Might as well go for the big vermin. Lebanese might study how IEDs are employed in Iraq and put that information to good use. If Jihadists can blow up their enemies, sending some IED love in the opposite direction is more than fair.

The Red Army Faction "bicycle bomb" that took out Alfred Herrhausen is the canonical "surgical strike" IED. Some of those with copper cup-shaped "EFP" charges would, hypothetically of course, make a nice daisy chain for a pro-Syrian motorcade...

I heard on the news today that if this pattern of anti Syrian politician assassinations will continue, soon enough they will be outnumbered in the Lebanese Parliament and what will happen then? It's been suggested that Syria will be invited back ....

Those who care, better do something soon!

This is just more handiwork from Syrian intelligence. The syrians appear to be pretty good and knocking off innocent, hard-working politicians who are fighting to make Lebanon a better place. It makes a good cover for the humiliating surprise attack that the IAF carried out on them earlier in the month. So much for Syria's vaunted new "Russian air defence system".

Iran best be taking notes.

"So much for Syria's vaunted new "Russian air defence system".

Never the "Syrian" part.
Buying a piece of equipment, a system, or a system of systems in no way means that the purchaser knows WTF to do with their gear. Not all our opponents are cowardly, stupid, or incompetent.
