Urdu media condemns Mumbai attacks, claims Mossad, CIA behind attacks

Bhatkal: Five Urdu dailies published from Hyderabad were unambiguous in condemning the Nov 26 terror attacks and termed it as India's 9/11, an attack on India's sovereignty and a barbaric act against humanity. The Urdu media opposed war against Pakistan as a solution to the problem of terrorism but felt that Islamabad was not doing enough to stop terror acts emanating from its soil.

In the season of conspiracy theories, there is another one that is gaining ground. A demand for the probe of Mossad and CIA's role behind the Mumbai terror attacks has been made by Rashtriya Sahara's Urdu daily. The demand comes at a time when minority affairs minister A R Antulay, supported by large sections of the Muslim community, has demanded a probe into the killing of Maharashtra ATS chief Hemant Karkare.

A day before the attacks, Karkare received a death threat over phone. The government has neither announced a probe into his killing nor has given an assurance that the work he was doing would continue. Sangh Parivar terrorism should not be sidetracked for the probe into Mumbai attacks, it said.

Hindus will be fighting for their own land in the next 40 years. The above writer should have written the Hindus have carried this attacks that would have been fun.

If terrorism is so bloody popular there, one would think they'd be having celebration parties instead of spinning conspiracy theories.

Hyderabad is in India and is approximately 40% Muslim. The city suffered bombings back in August 2007. They may be trying to divert the blame onto any other group they can.

Strange as it may sound, diverting blame is at least a step up from celebrating guilt and actions. Compare:

"Yeah, that's right, we did it and we are proud."

"We didn't do it and we condemn the group who did it, who happen to be someone we already hate."

Which one of those statements shows more support for terrorism? Bigotry is much more common and easier to fix than nihilism. I'm not saying it's a cinch to fix either.

I have always thought that when people try to divert the blame for 9/11 away from Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda that that is a tacit admission that the attacks were evil.

This situation is no different.

Why I posted this article here because the writers are spreading more hatred towards Jews. The majority of the people who might be reading those papers would be poor. Those people would not have a luxury as You & I have.

Linking the Mumbai terror attacks to 9/11, the editor mentioned that New York was attacked on the day and the deaths of Jewish citizens was minimal because they had been forewarned and had taken off from work.

Exactly right. Blaming Mossad is trying to divert the blame from the real culprits onto the Jews.
