Finnish Foreign Minister Stubb denounces Israeli attack on clinic run by Finnchurchaid
Finnish Minister for Foreign Affairs Alexander Stubb (Nat. Coalition Party) on Monday denounced the attack by the Israeli military on a health clinic in Gaza financed by Finnchurchaid, the foreign aid organisation of the Finnish Evangelical-Lutheran Church.
In an interview with the Finnish Broadcasting Company (YLE), Stubb said that Finland had already been in contact with Israeli representatives concerning the incident.
“We have no position on whether it was deliberate or accidental, but we sharply condemn all attacks against humanitarian targets”, Stubb said.
The clinic, which had been built for women and children, had been closed, because of the bad security situation, says Jouni Hemberg, head of humanitarian aid operations of Finnchurchaid.
The attack occurred late on Saturday.
According to Hemberg, it appears that the attacks against clinics have been systematic. He says that mobile clinics supported by the Danish Church were destroyed in the very first days of the war.

Has there been a Finnish condemnation of Hamas bombing of Israeli towns in the past few years?

All attacks are carogorically denounced.

But why are they denounced now, not when Israeli towns were being shelled? Where is the Finnish foreign ministers condemnation of all the acts of terrorism against the Jews? Not condemning them makes him look like a Jew hater or at least a backer of the Arabs.

The comments concerned the shelled clinic more than any single act.

So there weren't any condemnations of shells that killed Israelis in say the past few years (ever?), thats what your saying.... for some reason now was the time the Finnish foreign minister desided to pipe up, not when Jews where being targeted (all civilian targets) and killed. Is that the jist of it? or am I missing something?

It might be of interest to read the following about the minister's background. He has studied in the US and is very pro-American (British wife). Could this influence something?

Speaking from whom? Finns? The Children on the picture under the sign of "Crossing Barbed Wire is Prohibited under threat of Execution" is a concentration camp.... in Finland. Any word from the defense minister on that? When will Finland admit to crimes against humanity? I am surprised the below page was never translated into Suomi - like so many Wiki pages are (and this one dealing with Finish history directly).....

In small Korelia there were 20 dedicated Concentration Camps with 6 in Petsamo alone (Petrozavodsk) !!!! Two prisons serving as Concentration camps. And this does not include prisoner of war camps at which the mortality rate of Soviet POWs was even greater then in similar German establishments. The Finns physically managed to place the entire non-Finish population into concentration camps - even the Germans never managed to do anything of the sort. Below is the list of all the concentration camps (it's in Russian). Talking about racism and intolerance. Do they teach all this in Finland?
1. Центральная тюрьма п. Киндасово
2. Территориальная тюрьма Кестеньги
3. Концлагерь Киннасваара

YES! And it will go in Israel's permanent file.
Just a bunch of white racist idiots.... Finland is a country of white people who think they can teach others about how good their life is especially when one can get a good and fairly cheap lay just across the border.

The legitimacy is not required, if you are able to listen to his comments.

Can you please post a link of him denouncing Hamas rockets on Israeli civilians once over the last 8 years, before this conflict started?
By the way, you probably refer to the Finnish Foreign Minister with two ns.
Why? Is he going to issue me a strongly worded letter too?

Yesterday the Foreign Minister talked with the Israeli Ambassador in Helsinki. A former foreign minister from another party demanded that Israel should pay for the costs of the destroyal.
And a former editor-in-chief had the following to say in his column:
COLUMN
Destroying ghettoes in Gaza The latest upsurge in violence in the Middle East, the fighting in Gaza, has been the focus of attention of journalists and commentators worldwide. Independent columnist Olli Kivinen examines the historical context, the arguments of both sides, and the reactions of outside powers to the conflict.

Israel is already paying to destroy Gaza. It costs a hell of a lot to disembowel the infrastructure, which, of course is money well spent! ... and ... :D

In the meanwhile there are a number of cases pending against at the time Nazi-Finland by some former residents of Korelia. The "former" does not give a sh***t.

I say we should support immediate self determination for the Sami people (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sami_people).

I don't know, what if I pay them a billion bucks or 100x to part company. Thats what the going rate is for revolution.... your foreign minister is unconcerned that Arab and Iranian money is used for waging Jihad, perhaps we can collect a few billion and help the Lappies organize, don't you think thats fair?

How about?
[a]" history of the Sami people has been one of colonisation, missionising, prohibitions, sanctions and forced assimilation."
Self determination is reason enough really. They comprise a nationality w/o a state.
"Sami self-determination in spheres of Sami interest is therefore becoming a reality. (hhttp://www.yukoncollege.yk.ca/~agraham/nost202/sapmi-small-nations.html)"
I would advise the Finns, Swedes, Norwegians and Russians to surrender their colonial holdings to the Sápmi people. This mistreatment has gone on too long. Enough is enough.
