Maybe the time has finally come to realize that giving the PA legitimacy and worse yet weapons, was a big mistake.
The argument against "taking out" the PA altogether is that the alternative will be worse.
I'm not so sure.
After all, with the PA in charge, there are misslies fired into Israeli residential neighborhoods, including in Jerusalem. There is constant murder of Israeli citizens. There are large-scale suicide bombings regularly.
So how much worse could it be already if someone else would be representing the Palestinians?
I say get rid oif Arafat and the PA, see who rises to leadership and try to work out a deal with them. At that point, they will have a clear example of what happens if terrorism persists.

So who is it gonna be? Hamas? Dahlan? Paletinian Hizbbullah? Do you really want to be dealing with any of these?

The Palestinian Authority had their chance when Barak was willing to give away the keys, and the response from Arafat and the PA was Intifada. When my child acts up, I don't reward them, and if I offer them a treat I don't expect to get spit in my face with it either.
Great message board I found it on Kolel.com

The time is of course right now, to eliminate the PA. They are nthing but a bitter enemey and there is really no point to letting them exist to murder innocent Israelis.

If they really are murderers why do the Israeli army go into Palestinian territory and kill innocent civilians. The army went into a hospital and killed patients that were already sick. If u call that justice, that shows wat all yall are!!!
You guys talk about how the PLO and other Palestinians havew broken international laws, but you dont consider into looking at all the international laws that Israel have broken and also Human RIghts!!!!!!
Think about what u sau before u speak!!!!!!!!!1

Here are total Israeli casualties, since the start of the Oslo wars in September 2000:

My guess is that there are 2500-3000 Palestinian casualties in the same period, including the recent fighting. I cannot find up-to-date figures even on Palestinian sites.
Now these are year-old statistics but of great interest, nevertheless:
