Hey guys,

I didnt know where to put this thead.... but please vote for ISRAEL

"Vote for...." Just like in the Soviet Union in the past and now North Korea. People are told how they must vote and the result is often full support for the named candidate.

You equate israel_heart's asking that people vote for Israel, the same as a brutal dictatorship's demands of it's enslaved people?

Have you ever driven by a road sign, during an election, in a democracy, that says: "vote for"?

Ever listen to a politician asking people to vote for him/her? You think this is the same as North Korean demands on their people, either do as we say, or you die?

Do you feel that israel_heart has some great, enforcement powers over the members of the Israel Forum? (after all, she does say PLZZZZZZZZZZ)

Or..... did you wake up with a chip on your shoulder, in a nit-picking mood?

Silly question. Does that mean support Hamas which I don't, or support recognition of Israel which I do or support an eventual brokering of a two state solution as did Bush and as does Obama which may end up in the hands of neither Hamas nor Fatah? I think this is a deliberate oversimplification.

Sorry, I was pointing out to justcurious or whoever that unlike the countries where you are forced to vote a certain way, you had the good manners to use the word "please". Tyrants etc usually don't use please, therefore the comparisson he / she made was invalid.

I have voted and will continue to vote, Israel Heart.

But I find it depressing that these issues get reduced to a reality TV show public vote with no scope for intelligent discussion. All I can see on the comments page is the teenage shrieking of slogans about Israel that you see all over Facebook groups at the moment. I've tried to engage those people on Facebook in the last couple of weeks; few people have a clue what they're actually talking about when they wave the Palestinian flag. Most of them are kids.

Maybe Simon Cowell should host an Israel V Palestine Idol next? ;)

Anyone remember the silly vote on the Drudge Report a few weeks back on who had the nicest chest? Shirtless Obama vs Putin.

Good guys come and go. Israel and Palestine are territories, not people. I won't be bullied into making this a binary equation. Are you implying that the existence of each is mutually exclusive of the other, that if I am not for the destruction of Palestine therefore I must be for the destruction of Israel? I don't buy that, and to do so would contradict the foreign policy of my country which BTW is not Israel or Palestine.

Good to see comments are not abandoned yet. The virus checker is fine. But does it only check that all comments are not in pursuance with the majority's (?) wishes.

Not trying to bully anyone. But it really is simple, against Israel and the Jews, or for Palestine and Hamas. That was the question, simplified, of course. I am not telling you what to do. Sorry if you misunderstood my intentions.

That "gz" at the end of the internet address

http://www.israel-vs-palestine.com/gz/

indicates "Gaza."

If you want to depend on your virus checker, then vote all you want.

The miscreants who run Gaza use women and children for human shields and hide in hospitals when they should be out becoming martyrs. They are willing to send suicide bombers to blow up innocents in restaurants and fire rockets into cities. Can they get any lower?

Just to let you know, I am a Chinese, but voted for the Palestine.

This is not some "It's either you are with us, or against us" kinda crap that Bush used post 9/11.

Edit: The more you people (the Israelites) try to defend your actions, the more irksome you are to the rest of the world. We all know both sides have committed atrocities. But bulldoze and drive your tanks into Palestine (which affects civilians) is not a nice thing to do.

Nations (if you are considered one) rise and fall like humans. Nothing last forever. What goes around comes around. This is the principle of Karma. Whether you believe in Karma is moot-point. But from what we have seen so far, it's an endless cycle of Hell for both states, both reaping in on what they have sowed.

God's people do not advocate violence. God's people respect the 10 (original, non-hebrew version) the 10 commandments.

Come to think of it, Israelites (in this forum) are sounding more and more like their palestine fanatic (extremist) counterparts.

If Israel is so Just and can do no wrong, shouldn't be the majority (on this blue planet) be with the country instead? Apparently, this is not the case.

Palestine and Israel extremists are not different from each other. They all hurt civilians. :lol

But neither is as bad as the Chinese gov't which starved their own people and brutally occupies the peaceful nation of Tibet.

Just to let you know, I am a Chinese

Edit: The more you people (the Israelites) try to defend your actions, the more irksome you are to the rest of the world.

Firstly, thanks for telling us you're Chinese. I'm British, not as 'Israelite'. However I support the state of Israel 100% and believe them to be very much in the right. The term 'Israelite', refers to the Biblical tribes thousands of years ago. And by the way, the phrase "You people" is often used in an offensive, even racist way against Jews. You've given us a good example of it's usage.

We all know both sides have committed atrocities. But bulldoze and drive your tanks into Palestine (which affects civilians) is not a nice thing to do.

No, war's not very nice, is it. But it's necessary when you're attacked otherwise you die. What would China do if it's neighbour fired rockets at it for years and years? Israel bulldozes the rocket launchers, the warehouses and the infrastructure that the terrorists use to make their weapons. Seems very reasonable to me, seeing as the guy driving the bulldozer could be attacked. Other countries would just bomb the hell out of them from the air to save their own soldier casualties.

God's people do not advocate violence. God's people respect the 10 (original, non-hebrew version) the 10 commandments.

Original non-Hebrew version of the Ten Commandments? Are you claiming that the Torah isn't written in Hebrew? Please tell us more. And by the way, the commandment against murder is not to be confused with acting in self-defense, killing in wartime or even killing animals for meat. Surely that's obvious.

Come to think of it, Israelites (in this forum) are sounding more and more like their palestine fanatic (extremist) counterparts.

Really? Are people here calling for suicide bombings, celebrating the deaths of their enemies with dancing in the streets, deifying dead martyrs with shrines, refusing to ever compromise or ever negotiate peace?

If Israel is so Just and can do no wrong, shouldn't be the majority (on this blue planet) be with the country instead? Apparently, this is not the case.

This isn't the case because uninformed people like you haven't got a clue about the history and the context of this situation and simply allow themselves to believe the propaganda of the terrorists. Wake up and see how you're being manipulated.

And get out of Tibet.

Apparently, China's economic crisis (loads of jobs being lost) means that many of them are now spending their days posting rubbish on the Net. I hope those factories making second-rate goods open again soon - they need to be kept occupied.

Only recently have I started getting back into Tea (from coffee). As a kid my Dad would always have a kettle going, and he would almost always make Indian black tea, he really didn't like the Chinese varieties. I like basically three varieties now, Japanese Sencha (which is the best variety of green tea I hear) ; Indian Darjeeling tea and African Rooboos herbal. Oh, and sometimes a tart rose hip (traditional east/central European herbal tea). I'll try out the Putharjhora Estate Organic thanks.

I buy Rishi brand mostly.
