Revised 4/1/02

Just a quick note to explain about member titles:

When a new member joins, they receive a "Trial membership" until they post a certain number of messages, and it appears that the trial member will be a good addition to our community.

Then, the member becomes part of our online community and is given the title of "New Member."

When a member has posted more than 50 posts, then they become a "Full Member."

When a member posts more than 200 posts, then they become a "Senior Member."

What is this "Trial Membership" for then?

This was just added recently.

Until you've posted a certain number of messages and proven that you understand the framework of this forum, you are considered to have posting privileges on a trial basis.

After a certain number of good, constructive posts, you become a New Member, then a Full Member, etc.

If those first posts indicate that there might be some "issues" that would potentially pose a problem, then that member can lose their ability to post messages.

Any chance you guys might enable custom user titles?

Yeah, I think I messed up a little, in the "anti-semetism" board. Sorry about that. May I ask, how many posts do I need to do, before I can start a new thread? Thanks.

I joined this board last year and posted only a couple of times. I was then out of the country and did not have internet access. I've since returned but when I log in, most of the forums are no longer displayed. Has my account expired ? If so, how can it be renewed ?

Which forums are you seeing? I don't think there's been any change to your account if you are still able to post and can see this.

Hi Cerulean,

If I am not logged in, I can see and read all of the forums. As soon as I log in, the forums under the heading " Israel Discussions " are no longer displayed.

I can still see Special Focus-War against Iraq, Resources, Technical issues, and Our community.

Acheron, thanks for the response. I'm not sure why that is happening. Could you try a couple things?

What does this link show you?

http://www.israelforum.com/board/forumdisplay.php3?forumid=6

How about this link?
http://www.israelforum.com/board/search.php3?s=&action=getdaily

How about if you go to the bottom left of the page and use the Forum Jump links?

Hi again Cerulean,

I tried the links you posted. When I tried the first, it said I do not have permission to access that page. The second gave me a list of 12 topics about either the war on Iraq or tackling anti-semitism, but nothing else.

When I tried the forum jump links, it would not list any of the forums in the "Discuss Israel" section. It would only list forums in the Special focus-war on Iraq, Resources, Technical issues, and Our community. Same problem as before.

It seems like I have been banned from the "Discuss Israel" section for some reason.

Acheron, I will look into it and see if I can find out why.

Give it a try now.

Thanks Cerulean,

The Israel Discussion forums are being displayed when I log in now. :)
