London, Asharq Al-Awsat -

Zaarir informed Asharq Al-Awsat that a group of arrested Hamas cadres confessed to monitoring senior official’s convoys, including that of President Mahmoud Abbas. Zaarir refused to go into detail, but stressed that this issue is related to the security apparatus.

According to sources, upon their arrest, the Hamas members were in possession of weapons, maps, and photographs of senior officials. The presence of photographs and maps indicated that members of the group were spying on President Mahmoud Abbas himself. Zaarir’s statements confirmed a report published by the Israeli Haaretz newspaper last Friday. The article cited an unnamed Palestinian security source who revealed that the arrested Hamas members were monitoring the movements of the Palestinian president, and that the motivation behind this was to assassinate him.

A Hamas spokesman described these accusations as “desperate.” Mushir al Masri, the Secretary-General of the Hamas parliamentary bloc told Asharq Al-Awsat that “this is a desperate attempt to justify the massacre committed by the government against Hamas in the West Bank in order to pave the way for the implementation of the Road Map [for Peace] and security coordination [with Israel].”

“This is a transparent policy by the government in Ramallah that our Palestinian people have become used to. It is an attempt to cover up the killings and arrests practiced against members of Hamas and the resistance in the West Bank.”

Al Masri added, “They have accustomed us to talk of uncovering a cell here or there, but until now we have not heard of any [government] official being exposed to an attack or an attempted assassination.”

Not the first time, a video was uncovered last year of Hamas members in a tunnel loaded with explosives under a road Abbas was to drive along.

It wouldn't be a great loss if Abbas was killed cause he isn't different than his pals in the Hamas, both Hamas and Fatah are murderous terrorist organizations.

About 50% of the terror attacks in the recent years were done by Fatah according to what the former chairman of the committee of defense and foreign affairs in 1997 Yuval Shtainitz (now a minister) said in a radio interview. The only difference is that Hamas is richer than Fatah.

Abbas is a holocaust denier and a terror supporter.

And then what? What's worse, Abbas the Eunuch or the glint eyed maniacs in Hamas?

Abbas is the head of a terrorist organization who instigates day in and day out against our nation so whenever you define him in the name of Eunuch you should also add 'terrorist' before it. To call him just Eunuch is a compliment for him. And he is also a maniac and also his people are, their past actions proved it, no doubt about that. And also their current terror attemps, keep reading.

You don't live in Israel and you don't hear Abbas on regularly basis (mainly because of the American media who support him) and you aren't aware to the daily terror attempts by Fatah which are being foiled in Judeah and Samaria by the IDF soldiers and by the security fence which saved and is saving Israeli lives.
The reason why Hamas in Gaza can operate (although it lower his terror activity almost to zero since Netanyahu bacame a prime minister, because Hamas knows that Netanyahu isn't a sucker nor a loser whenever the security of Israel is on the scales, unlike Olmert the loser who for 3 years used to bomb empty offices of Hamas) is because the IDF left Gaza. The reason why you don't hear that much about Fatah is because Fatah is in Judea and Samaria but ALSO the IDF which fights against it.

An alternative to a terror organization like Hamas can't be another terror organization called Fatah. It's like asking what's worse, to be attacked by a great white or by a huge alligator?

The solution (which any normal country in the world would have done if it was in the shoes of Israel) is to destroy completely these 2 terror organizations and to put on trial the ones who brought 40,000 Arab terrorist murderers from Tunis in 1994 i.e. Shimon Peres (and his Oslo gang) who called the Israeli victims in the name "peace victims".

Does the Israeli media ever credit Netanyahu for this? I see some credit for this going to Obama in the news, although it is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Soon they will credit Obama with the reason the earth circles the sun...
