so my husband and I were talking to another Lebanese. My husband shot out a political point, WITH friendness....."I just don't trust what Jumblat is doing."

I am thinking..."Dude...this is our customer....let's not offend what we got coming"....in my head, like, here we go again.

The Druze, crossed his legs and stated (which I will do a brief synopsis in one rather put together quote), "I don't trust him either. But, why is he doing what he is doing? I believe, he is doing his moves in meetin hezbollah - whom I hate with all my heart - because Obama is going to sell us again to Syria along with approval of France, etc. There are things they do for a reason behind the doors of the public. Or, second thing is, that there is an attempt to take out March 14th, and Jumblat is trying to cool that too."

Now, here is the underline notion: Jumblat is warming up to Hezzie, and Syria...same with Gemeyal, et. al. Calling for cooler notions, etc. More news out of Lebanon lately....is anti-Israeli...while ppl are calling for ENOUGH WAR.

Does something seem out of wack here? Harriri tribunal coming up. Something is up for sale. Dicussions of lands, etc...

I do fear Lebanon is for sale again to the highest bidder. And, while Chrisitans aways fought this point...here we are hearing the same argument from a Druze now.

Property value went from 10,000 to almost 300,000. PPl out all day and night. Big party place. Well, I ask the same question.....how much longer does Lebanon have, until they are sold again?

And, this Druze is absolutely right on it. And if you think Israel is not a part of it, then I call you nothing but fools....for being our next door neighbors...you get something out of the sale, and your politicians will be right there.

We Lebanese, from all religions....just want to live. I state...moajority voted in the new government as a symbolizim of freedom, and right to choose. We want democracy. But, so far, we haven't seen it, and seeing a leader teeter again, makes us lebanese - with a new american president.....worry.

And if we are sold again....then how can you blame the Lebanese? We are simply tired of blood and war. I believe...we will just start huge black markets, and let things go amuck. This next sell - a second time, - willl be the last break. ANd it is a 'sale' that is now on everyone's mind.

Sold?

Lebanon walks open eyed into a slaughter field OB. You left the country and most of the people who gave a rats about it have left it as well. Now you have Iran and Syria (and the Saudis ankle biting them). They call the shots. They will start another war and they will put the best parts of Lebanon into the cannon. Whether Druze or Christian will not matter, you have all been relegated to fodder. Mostly to divert attention from Iranian this or that. With a weak US government, and the Russians and Chinese backing the mullahs and that pencil neck, Beirut is in the twilight of it's old history. I'm sorry to say.

Lebanese are not united, each sect is allied with a different country. The Christians should've broken up into a separate state along time ago. Instead most of the Christians left and now the remaining ones are divided and powerless. Christians made a lot of mistakes with Lebanon, then again it aint easy being a non-Muslim in the Middle East. They probably could've done a better job lobbying other Christians around the world to their cause. Instead they decided to appeal to the Arabs and well we can see the wonderful outcome of that decision...

Sorry Orangeblossom, you can't blame Obama for the mess in Lebanon and actually I think it was Lebanese who sold Lebanon to the highest bidder.

Look at the Assyrian situation... this is exactly where the Maronite community is heading.

It's official, although the writing has been on the wall for quite some time. Jumblatt resigned from March 14th and is headed to Syria in a matter of days. For those who don't know Syria had Jumblatt's own father assassinated.

We must remember that Jumblatt is no different than our very own David Axelrod and Rahm Emmanuel. These are people who would sell their own mother if it meant they could get more power.
