Why bother going to school when the law doesn't permit them to work? Oh we sing the praises of our oppressed Palestinian brethren.......

"The youngsters say 'why study when I can't work afterwards'," Torres said. Lebanese law prevents Palestinian refugees from practising most professions or owning property.

Torres said another alarming factor is child labour among Palestinian refugee children which stands at 6.1 percent, most of them boys.

"This is too high when you compare it to figures in developed countries where child labour has practically disappeared," Torres said.

I have a friend named Nissim Dahan, who writes on "Mideastyouth" and has a website of his own in which he extols the virtues of investment in business in the M/E rather than in bullets. This is, of course, at cross purposes with Hamas and Hezbullah since they are professional anti-Israel militias, and peace, business and prosperity would mess up their whole game. Lack of business opportunity and constant conflict feeds the notion that "palestinians" (a false designation anyway) are victims. As long as Hamas and Hezbullah can perpetuate that notion and foil business and prosperity, they stay in "business" themselves and have an endless pool of recruits for all the suicide missions they like to have performed. They, by their actions of terror and attack and having Israel briefly invade to kick their butts, perpetuate themselves and, if they're lucky, the leaders can enrich themselves like big city druggie ganstas.....same thing, different "jones".
