I got this photo of a pro-Palestinian site.
Why are all of the Palestinians not aware of the gun pointed in their faces? Not a single one of them is paying attention to it.
It's amazing how people fall for photoshopped pictures that can be eazily recognized as fakes.
The only person that the people are staring it is the cameraman.

Thanks for pointing that out. It's also good to see where our own takeo gets his material.

I think at least 3 of the people are looking at the soldier:
The girl in the green jacket carrying the bag;
The boy holding her hand;
The man in the black jacket with close cropped hair.
Speaking from experience, you don't need to fake photos like this.
It is an every day occurence. Perhaps that is why most of the people are not looking at the soldier.
Also, perhaps something was happening in the other direction that was more interesting.
Also, perhaps some people are looking at the camera person.
It doesn't look like it's been doctored, but what was the orginal caption underneath it?
the gun is probably not actually pointed directly at their faces, as with photos like this you can't actually tell where the soldier is standing in relation to the people.

Is this jcsd from U75?
Hi!
BTW, I think another cause for confusion is that the soldier has a different focus to the crowd.
But, this can be easily explained, basically the photographer is using a high F number.

Hi Stragtegist! I am the same jcsd who posts at U75. Are you Golem? (strategist=scenario planner?)
Shades of the Warsaw ghetto: Israeli troops stop Palestinians trying to leave Rammallah is the actual caption, IMO the troop appears to be waving his gun as if to signal to the people in the crowd to move in a certain direction, The angle at which his gun is to his head means that he probably isn't aiming at anything at that exact moment.
I don't know much about photography, but alot of press photos especially ones in restricted or potentially dangerous situations are taken with a pretty hefty zoom, which creates a false perspective, meaning the background and the foreground look alot closer than they actually are.
Also looking at the credit for the photo, it was taken by a Reuters photographer which means it probably hasn't been changed (if it had it would be very easy to find out).

Ah the captions! If that was the case you would think the crowd would look somewhat emotional. Here's my caption. Crowd waits for bus while IDF shoots at rabid dog running to the crowd. Nah, they don't even look that concerned.

Actually theres a link at Reuters to view all their photos. I looked at it a year ago and 99.99% of the pix were of the poor mistreated pals. A few of the pix were like this.... an IDF soldier was pointing a gun out of this window in a place that was made of stones. You could see nothing outside of the window because of the angle. Just the solider pointing a gun from this window. The caption read... IDF kills child. There was another pix of an IDF walking with some old lady and the caption read that he was preventing her from leaving. She didn't look upset. It looked more like he could have been trying to make sure she was safe in the place they were walking.

Feeling very cryptic today Blueprint?
In other words,
1. I'm not sure what the first line is meant to mean
2. Proof of what exactly? I'm sorry, but I'm not paying money to Reuters just to prove to you that this is one of their pictures.
There is no real reason to think that it is in any way doctored, I can tell you that Abu Turk is a highly respected Reuters photographer.

Edited to add:
OK, OK, just getting a little carried away here. :D
Put it like this, if I include all my different personas on U75, my post count should about around 3000.

try reading some of the reuters articles. whenever they are written by arab journalists, they tend to be so biased towards the palestinians. boohoohoo poor palestinians being harrassed and tortured by israeli soldiers. they just try to pack so much drama into it, even when there's nothing there. ing arabs. they don't know how to report anything in a balanced way. i mean, if all i wanna hear is arab propaganda, i can just go to arabicnews.com or islam online, al-jazeera, etc.
i really hope reuters will start telling the story like it is and allow ME to decide instead of just flooding their site with all this pro-palestinian b.s.
