Deleting posts?

Why is it impossible to delete one's own posts? IIRC, it used to function :confused:

Sorry, I didn't notice this post earlier.

It's because as it turns out, having the ability to delete one's post also gives that person the ability to delete the posts of other members in certain circumstances. So, this was turned off as a security measure.

Instead, the poster has the ability to delete the contents of his/her post completely, but not the post position. This accomplishes the same pretty much.
