Genesis 13:14-17, the Bible says: The Lord
said to Abram, ``Lift up now your eyes, and look from the place where you are
northward, and southward, and eastward and westward: for all the land which you see, to you will I give it, and to your seed forever. ..... Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it to thee.'' That is God talking. The Bible says that Abram removed his tent and came and dwelt in the plain of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and built there an altar before the Lord. Hebron is in the West Bank. It is at this place where God appeared to Abram and said, ``I am giving you this land,''--the West Bank.""
This, the Religous segment excerpted from "7 reasons the Land belongs to Israel" The whole text of which will be posted on the Isreal-Arab Conflict board .. abu

I'm not sure where this information is found, if its the bible or talmud, or where, but Abraham actually paid for that land (whoever the previous land holder was, not sure), and he recieved an actual deed. And while I'm at it, for muslims to say they are from Abraham's blood line is a HUGE lie. mohamad was an arab, not an egyptian, and he was not decended from Hagar. muslims were made, not born into islm during the early days.... no actual blood line ties muslims to hagar / Abraham.
mohamad is to said have early on, that he was impressed with the god of the Jews, and he believed he was yet another prophet.
He nor any islamic person has any tie to Abraham and it is a huge fabrication that they make such absurd claims. Even more absurd that so many people believe it when it is so easy to see how flimsy the claims are. Who ever the decendents of hagar were, seem to have vanished into the mists of antiquity.

The first testment says that the arabs mainly arab bedoiuns are the descadnets of Hagar and Abraham.
But no one can really prove wheather Jesus Moses or Mohammed were actually descadnets of Abraham, its all tell tale anyway.

If it IS true as both the Qur'an and the Bible say, then it could be used to build bridges instead of tearing them down. I am very respectful of Abraham (SAW). I look upon his lineage as something that draws many groups of people together. But in actuality it isn't very important. Even Prophet Muhammed (SAW) didn't take his lineage much past three generations. The tradition everywhere at that time was to trace any great man's lineage to Adam (SAW). Thus we find the Kings of England and the rest of Europe tracing back to Adam and even to Zeus. This may also be the case with Prophet Jesus (SAW).
One way or the other we all have the same blood, it is human blood.

It's from the talmud, and you miss the point entirely. In the story, God assigns the land to Abraham and his descendents. Abraham then offers the Hittites money for the land and they honor the sale because they know Abraham is a righteous man. Abraham could have just taken the land from them, using only God's words as justification. But if the Hitites do not recognize the God of Abraham, and thus God's authority, then it would be arrogant for Abraham to assume that his beliefs are enough to make his claim to the land superior over the people already living there. Of course, the talmud doesn't say what Abrhama would have done had they refused the offer...
