An article from HaAretz on Hasbara - maybe, just maybe the worm is turning? ;)

...and American public opinion clearly prefers the Israeli cause to the Palestinian one. However, closer scrutiny of the elements that make up American public opinion will show that Israel has cause for concern.

Yeah Americans are generally less anti-Semitic and more insightfull than their European counterparts. Though there definitly ARE some idiots in the US who think the Palestinians are rightfully doing what they are, but that's expected.
I also think that the misinformation present in the media helps turn people over to the Palestinian side, or just the lack of information. When people don't think for themselves, the Israeli "occupation" automatically makes it sound like the Israelis are bad.

Exactly: that's why we are here on this board, and that's why we are helping the Hasbara Committee.
We need your help though, with documented items we can flood ABC, NBC, Fox, etc. etc. with!

Thats the point David. Far to many Americans live life in a safe little bubble, eat, drink and sleep biased news, and are incapable of forming an educated opinon.
Although it is not a really good talking point to a Jewish audience, one thing that is consistantly missed is the effect of intermarriage on American society. People consistantly miss this.
An example is this: Although about 6 million observant Jewish people live in the US, census estimates report 13 million people who are of some type of Jewish origin ( but not according to the Halacha).
High intermarriage rates have produced a solid block of reliable Israel supporters who are not even noticed, but are vocal in theior support. This has been going on for at least 4 generations, and is happening now more than in the past.
It is estimated that aproximately 25-30 million people are of some Jewish descent ( enough to make the legal requirement for Aliyah under Israeli law), but are "under the radar" when it comes to statistics and reporting to both the Israelis and Americans.
This has intrigued me for some time. Perhaps it explains the staunch support for Israel in some quarters in American society.

This is outrage! in Egypt. Lebanon, Jorden the additude is anti-american in the extreme. Yet we have given them modern weapons for short term oil-money wealth.
The fact is these Arab countries have now bought Western weapons, but they need our precious parts to keeps their Western machines operating if they are agianst us then these weapons should be grounded to inoperable . the bottomline is if you us, then YOU!!!!! we hold the aces in our hand and if you can't follow our line, the Israelis will tread over junk to embarress you for agian.
Let them eat cake!.

The reason 4 American non-jewish supt is mainly frm Xians who believe the words to the Jewish people in the Tanakh,"Blessed are they who bless you and cursed are they who curse you." Xians, my thoughts on that theological subject is very different than the majority. My opininion is not acceptbl for them nor in hardcore Judaism. Suffice it with the fact that if we are true to the goal of the age of moshiach, it'll all come out in the wash. HaShem has his reasons, who am I to keep trying to convince Him. We can't outlaw religion, that's been tried. We can't outlaw opinions, that also has been tried. Outlaw guns? then we're back to Germny 1933, or Russia 1917, Hashoah and the progroms. How 'bout we out law evil? HaShem did that already and look where it's got us now? Ask Mediocrates what I sent to him. Tikkun olam is not easy but I've found a basis to build from, it was HaShem' plans, Let's try for His honor. Shalom :)
Is your perspective that of "The Other"? If so there are different intepretations about that even within Orthodoxy.
