Mr. Cesare Romiti, Chairman of RCS (Rizzoli Corriere della Sera)
Mr. Gianni Vallardi, Managing Director, RCS
Mr. Charles Henri Flammarion, Flammarion Publishing
The Simon Wiesenthal Center and its supporters around the world protest the publication of the novel, Rever la Palestine, by Flammarion Publishing, a subsidiary of the Rizzoli Corriere della Sera group.
Purportedly written by fifteen-year-old Randa Ghazi, the novel depicts Palestinian teenagers who fight 'bloodthirsty Jews who assassinate children and old people, profane mosques, and rape Arab women.' Even more ominously, the central character is recruited into the culture of death and eventually becomes a suicide bomber.
This book clearly slanders the State of Israel and validates homicide bombers - a threat not only to Jews and to Israel, but also to the stability of democratic societies everywhere.
Signed.
