Claims Israel massacred hundreds of thousands of Palestinians (that precise phrase)

ERDOGAN (through translator): We have conveyed our impressions to Mr. Obama along with many different related institutions. Turkey is very frank in its delivery, and we stand behind our remarks. Here's what's being said, and this is upsetting to hear. They say that Palestine is bombing and disturbing the people of Israel, and many Israelis have been killed.
I'm very clear in my remarks. I would like to see accurate statistics of how many Israelis have been killed by the bombs thrown by Palestinians or with the rockets that were launched by them, 10, 20, 100, 200, how many? Please document it. Let us know.
But on the other hand, we know that hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were killed. Only as a result of the Gaza attack, thousands of people were killed. These are very clear remarks. The Israeli people are only resorting back to the issue of genocide in history.
And using that genocide, they're always acting as if they are the victims all the time. We said for that, go ask Germany to pay its dues, and they have. So Germany has paid and is still paying its dues to Israel. But neither turkey nor the Muslims in the region have such a problem.
Death to Erdogan.

Let me add this:
http://blog.camera.org/archives/2011/09/is_turkish_prime_minister_erdo.html
Last year, a Turkish boat engaged in an act of war by trying to break Israel's legal blockade on Gaza. Its occupants violently attacked Israeli soldiers who attempted to stop it. The soldiers tried to defend themselves from being lynched and in the ensuing battle, nine attackers were killed. Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan demanded an apology (http://www.carolineglick.com/e/2011/07/no-prizes-for-erdogan.php?pf=yes) from Israel. But after Israel's refusal to apologize for what it saw as a result of Turkey's own wrongdoing, and a UN report that found Israel's maritime blockade of Gaza legal, a furious Erdogan threatened (http://www.haaretz.com/news/diplomacy-defense/erdogan-warns-israel-turkey-can-send-warships-to-east-mediterranean-at-any-time-1.384657?localLinksEnabled=false) Israel with warships, leaving even the New York Times to wonder whether he was dangerously (http://www.nytimes.com/2011/09/21/opinion/turkeys-leadership.html) out of control.
Now Erdogan is throwing his weight around again... this time at the UN and this time literally. The New York Times reports (http://www.nytimes.com/2011/09/27/world/world-peace-still-elusive-as-un-guards-scuffle-with-turks.html?_r=1&ref=middleeast) about a scuffle that ensued when Erdogan tried to push his way into an overcrowded gallery to cheer the Palestinian leader's speech on Friday. After a guard tried to stop him, Erdogan disregarded him and pressed forward. The guard pushed him and "a fracas erupted that was audible four flours below." And while it was the guard who in the process of doing his job ended up in hospital with a rib injury, it is the Turkish prime minister who has demanded an apology. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon, however, unlike Israel, has acceded to Erdogan's requests and appeased him with an apology and the firing of several UN guards.
But is appeasement really the best way forward with a bully who has clearly lost control?
My only question is how long before he takes out a gun and shoots to death an Israeli diplomat in the UN? A week? A month?

I think "Gangster" would probably be the best description of Erdogan.

Erdogan’s Bodyguards Broke Ribs of UN Guard
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s guards pushed United Nations guards, one of whom suffered broken ribs after being thown to the ground, in one of at least three brawls last week that the U.N. has tried to hush up.
It appears Erdogan was trying to sneak in the tradesmans entrance when he and his cronies were taken to task by a UN security guard.
Yes, Gangster is what he is, without any doubt.

And those UN guards were subsequently fired.

Since 1948, including the 1948 war, to this day, less than 20,000 Palestinians died in the various conflicts and the two intifadas.

I wonder how many arabs would have died if they had NOT declared these intifadas and tried to live at peace with Israel instead of continually trying to destroy it?

Ah! but that's not important when arab kills arab, one only has to look at Syria for proof of it. Not only is it not important, it should be actively encouraged. If Israel had a holiday to celebrate when its enemies kill each other, (as do the arabs). Nobody would ever get any work done. ;)

Is it strange how alike Assad and Erdogan are? I think not; for some reason it seems to be par for the course with arab meglamaniacs. They seem to thrive on killing minorities, whether it be Kurds or their own protesters, why do they have such a blood lust?

Assad himself is an Alawite minority. Sure, subjugation of minorities is one of the common properties of any tyranny, Syrian, Turkish or Soviet for that matter.
Every socialist has a blood lust (Assad is a socialist of Baath of course and so was Gaddafi as no doubt islamist Erdogan is as well). Eradication of any other view on life apart from their own is the only way for them to survive. Western socialists (or our Australian Labor for that matter) are no different in principle, they are just contstrained by other conditions in existence. In the West they don't have time to turn Australia into Syria as they are being kicked out "too soon".
