Israeli leftist demonstrators gather to call for IDF soldiers to disobey military orders that do not match their personal political views.

At the demonstration in Tel Aviv, leftist leaders read a letter from Arafat congratulating the leftists on their intention to disobey IDF orders.

The Hebrew-language banners carried by the leftists read as follows: "The Occupation creates war crimes," "The occupation is the terror," and "The occupation is killing us all." (Other banners are too hidden to decipher).

This photo heartens me, Some of the first proof Ive seen that there are Israeli citizens who are willing to put there feelings for humanity before the interests of the state.

This photo simply shows that many well-intentioned people are naive.

As the saying goes, "The road to hell is paved with good intentions."

How can Israelis find common ground with Yasir Arafat? Are these people so naive that they think he is trying to stop the terrorists? Do they not know that he has spent a lifetime as a terrorist, and that he pretends to fight terrorism only to sow discord within Israel and to accommodate Europeans looking for any excuse to oppose Israel?

People have the right to believe what they want. But when you embrace your mortal foes the results could be tragic.

The conscince of Israel. Lovely to see the sensible ppl campaigning for peace. That's why I support Israel on some issues, its these nice folk trying to right the wrongs of occupation. Similarly, Arabs need to do this type of thing. :)
