if i ever became the richest and powerful man in the world, here's what i would try to do:
i would build the biggest stadium ever constructed, perhaps, say enough to hold half a million people. i would build it right on the middle of the westbank/israeli border.
i would try to stage the most grandious, amazing, historical events there, the likes of which could attract people from all over the world to go there. the most popular music groups, the most extravagant plays, i would try to be able to stage soccer and other sports games between the jewish vs. arab world, in highly, highly competitive yet friendly matches...
in my dream, i would try to hold a performance, in which palestinian actors/artists would give performances which depict their love and attatchemnt to the land, and their description of what it meant to lose it, then the jews would do the same, what israel means to them as a people, and what they have gone through as a people. in theory, this would be acted out without words, to make it more universal, so both sides and the rest of the world could understand it.
i know this is against a lot of people's beliefs, but i would try to hand out marijuana to everyone in the audience, to add to the whole spiritual feel to the whole thing...
and maybe then the genuine hatred out there would turn more to understanding.
