Dear Mr. Cox:
As the fear of international terrorism intensifies, the blind funding of millions of euros per month from the European Union to the Palestinian Authority sends a signal that there is no price to pay for Palestinian officialdom’s corruption, antisemitism, and terrorism.
I join with the Simon Wiesenthal Center and tens of thousands of citizens in supporting the demand by 170 MEPs for an Inquiry Committee that would insist that the European Union’s future funding for the Palestinians not be expropriated to promote political corruption, hatred for Jews and Judaism, and terrorist activities.
As the President of the European Parliament, we urge you to reconsider your position and instead join with the other MEPs to stop the misuse of EU grants and to ensure that future European Union funding of Palestinian institutions only go forward when there is a real commitment to democracy and peaceful coexistence with Israel.
