"What has been taken by force must return back by force"
inspite I disagree late Nasser's policy
but some arabs cnvinced now more than before with this Nasser's title statement
Sainai has been freed by Egyptian army .. by force
South Lebanon .. has been returned back and Israeli Army withdrew in the night
I am sorry to mention that
I dislike war and violence
but the greediness of Israeli leaders in Arab lands will keep Israel in constant violence
the constant peace between arab and Israel will be achieve only by withdrewal from occupied lands
and recognizing right of Israel to live in recognized boundaries
with its arab neighbours
Shalom

The Sinai was not taken by force. After the Egyptian army was demolished by Ariel Sharon in 1973, the Sinai was handed back to Egypt as an act of Israeli peacefulness.
In fact, it turned out to be a bad deal for Israel because Egypt never kept its side of the bargain, which was normalization of relations and a true peace. Yet, Israel cannot recover its land now.
This deal with Egypt showed that despite Israel's optimism and genuine desire for peace, the entire formula of exchanging land (a tangible asset) for peace (a vague promise that cannot be enforced) is flawed and should never again be repeated.
As for the Lebanon retreat, I agree with you that it was a shameful defeat for Israel, caused by Ehud Barak, another Israeli dreamer with leftist advisors.
And, of course, even after handing over ALL land that was deemed by the UN as Lebanese land, Israel got nothing but more terrorist attacks, more kidnappings, more missiles shot into Israeli population centers and worst of all Iran is now stockpiling thousands of missiles capable of hitting all the way into Tel Aviv, and starting WW III. That's what handing over land to the Arabs has brought Israel and the world.
Dear NewsGuy
Nobody can deny the defeatness of Israeli army at 73 war
Mrs Goldamaer cried to Amerca asking instant help
Israeli imune Barleef line in sainai has been demolished throw hours
Process of Mr Sharon was risk , TV and cenima propaganda
America asked Mr Sadat not to destroy this funny risky pocket
and it will solve all issues
America fighted with Israel and rescued Israel at 73
Without america Israel cann't afford war alone
Anyhow
This is a history I dislike to be draged on
so let us discuss how can we achieve peace without repeating the dirty wars and stop crazy violence
Regard

OK, there is a simple way to find peace. It is that the Palestinians need to stop terrorism.
If the Palestinians stop terrorism, then Israel will immediately withdraw its tanks from the Palestinian cities (like was done previously by Sharon), and then peace talks can begin that will result in a second Palestinian state.
There was a framework by CIA director George Tenet and former Senator Mitchell that are a blueprint for this process. It calls for stopping Palestinian terrorism, then a cooling off period with easement of conditions for the Palestinian population, then negotiations for a permanent status agreement.
Both Israel and the Palestinians agreed to this, and so it should be implemented.

I agree with you that israel didn't return the sanai because it was forced too, but it was a political calculation that israel couldn't afford to be at constant war was a big country like Egypt.
I disagree that Egypt didn't hold onto the agreement, never again israel was attacked from the egyptian side, and this is the only thing that matters, Egypt can conduct its own policy.
The withdrawel from Libanon brough much less violence and was a very wise decision.
The palestinians stopping terrorism is one part of achieving peace, another one is israel willing to withdraw from ALL the occupied territories (not just some parts of it as in Camp Dav) and willing to dismantle the settlements. Both are equallly important.
