As reported in the J Post:
-----
Police detained Kach activist Baruch Marzel this afternoon in Hebron, Army Radio reported.
Police suspect Marzel of participating in a shooting attack against Palestinian residents of Hebron about two weeks ago.
Former Kach spokesman Marzel, a prominent figure on the extreme Right, was among a group of people questioned by police in 1989 on suspicion of involvement in the "State of Judea" underground group.
In January, the US State Department revoked Marzel's multiple entry visa, as part of a crackdown on Kach, Kahane Hai, and offshoot operations in the US, The Jerusalem Post reported.
Kahane Hai and Kach were banned by Israel in 1994 and were designated terrorist organizations by the State Department in 1995.
-------
Interesting that Kach was outlawed in Israel, but the Arab parties, who openly support Hamas and Hizbullah are considered to be legitimate parties.
Doesn't make a lot of sense.
