A suicide bomber blew himself up on 3/2/02 in front of a synogogue in Jerusalem at a time calculated to have a large crowd of Jewish youths socializing at that location.
As of now, there were 9 Israelis dead, including a young boy and a 1 1/2 year-old baby, and another 56 wounded, including 5 in critical condition, 3 in severe condition (usually means will be paralyzed or incapacitated for life), 12 in "medium" condition (meaning they lost an arm or a leg, or an eye, etc.) and 37 injured lightly (loss of blood, scarring and other flesh wounds).
Later, at the local hospitals, there are expected to arrive more injured, including mostly people who are in shock and may have long-lasting psychological effects that will affect them and their families, like anxiety, hypertension, panic attacks, etc.
Yasser Arafat's Fatah group claimed responsibility for the attack.
