I know a few people who have canceled their travel plans to Israel because of the ongoing violence.
Do you think that people should avoid Israel now?

The reality is that most people believe Israel is unsafe. That being said, this is the time when you can see who your real friends are and who you can depend on.
The UAHC, Reform Congregations have cancelled all trips to Israel, claiming they are not going to use children to make a political statement.
Well at least now we know who our friends are.

If someone is planning a trip to Israel, what steps would you recommend to stay as safe as possible?

Personally I will not travel to Israel, in order not to bring my money to a people who are occupying another people's land and who elected an extremist government a year ago. I will not travel to Syria, Irak, or other such countries either. Jordan will be my next destination, in May.
Shalom,
Hugo

Hugo, you have stated previously that you are French.
As an American I would also avoid visiting terrorist-supporting Arab states like Iraq, Syria and France. I completely understand your reluctance to visit such states.
shalom people,
i have a plan to make a trip to israel with a few friends. and though i believe israel is a more safe and law based country compare to most of others, i have some doubts.
as its an obligation against terrorism, israel have a strict police control in daily life.
and as a muslim turk, may i have any problems there, and how would people treat me as a muslim.
thanks.

mete,
Even though you are reading about all the problems in Israel, most of the country is like a vacation resort.
You will have a great time when you visit there.
Just count your change well at the Falafel stands, and don't be too distracted by all the pretty girls.
And when in doubt, tell any Israeli "Haim Revivo is #1 in Turkey." They will laugh and be very happy.
Thanks,
yes usually im hearing bad news about israel. but however i can hear very nice aspects too.
i want to go to masada hill and holocaust museum. and to anywhere in Tel Aviv. (spring of the hill?):)
im sure ill enjoy. and as the leader of travel organisation, im having the responsibiltiy too, to make my friends enjoy.
As i see people from israel in m country, they are usually warmblooded nice people.
And about Haim Revivo, he is the only reason making his team more endurable. i wish he was playing in GalataSaray.:)
Thanx for welcoming me so nice.
Peace.
I am not going to visit Israel
I have babies .. I have to raise , breed them first
You are Egyptian Mr. fair, right?
Hmmm… No wonder you wrote what you wrote!
At least in Israel, you won't get ribbed off from thieves and pocket pickers, get harassed from horny men or get annoyed from (almost everyone) asking for baqsheesh (tips)!
At least in Israel there is a civilized law that protects you and your "babies"! Even if you (as 99% of Egyptians visiting Israel) is planning to stay illegal in Israel to work and enjoy the civilized life that you miss in your country.
My 7000 years culture and civilisation ban and forbid me to argue
in nonsense
Hahahaha... Ok, Mr. fair. Have fun with your HISTORY!
