Dear Mr. President,

I urge you to keep your word to Israel, to the free world, and to the USA.

Do not lend American support to a new Arab terrorist state.

Abu Mazen has already shown his true stripes by appointing terrorists to critical portfolios of security and education.

Do you believe that PLO/HAMAS mass murderers will bring security to the Middle East? Why let another generation of young Arabs be indoctrinated with HAMAS's "Jihaducation"?

His intent is clear. With your 'non-negotiable' road map he can maintain the terror war that Arafat began in 1994, while you force Israel into suicidal concessions that no sovereign state in the world would be willing to make.

Don't sacrifice Israel to the bloodthirsty Nazis of today.

Good points, Humus sapiens, but think about changing your letter to the president a bit, while American memories are still fresh about THEIR compartmentalization between the Iraqi "regime" and the Iraqi "people". For Americans, the regime was "bad", while the people were "good". There is NO EVIDENCE that this is the case in the PA. Keep things simple.

On the "regime" side of the PA, Abu Mazen, as you wrote, has clearly shown that "his" "reformed" government will actually be more or less business as usual, that terrorists will basically still be in control at the governmental level, and that Arafat will maintain a high level of control. Note that Abu Mazen's doctoral thesis stated that the Jews were responsible for the Holocaust. Therefore, the "regime" in the PA still remains "bad".

On the "people" side, CONTRARY to the Iraqis who lived in fear for their lives for three decades under Saddam, the Palestinians in the PA (and also in the West Bank and Gaza during the 1991 war) showed strong support NOT for the "Iraqi people", but for SADDAM. Also, the "Palestinian people", in poll after poll, and demonstration after demonstration, have supported terrorism against both Israel and the USA, and rejection of the State of Israel's right to exist.

Complete and strong negation has to be made against Straw's doctrine that the Iraqi people are the same as the "Palestinians". This is completely false, ignores all evidence, and is clearly an Arabist agenda.

Thanks for the compliments. The "Straw Doctrine" enrages me, and I do not understand why people just accept this garbage contrary to every bit of evidence on video, TV, written media.

I think that I arrived at my advice through all the statistical analyses I'm in the middle of now. :o

Like my advisor says, keep your arguments simple. Actually, this is quite hard to do.
