" 1. The First Turkish Jewish meeting took place nearly 1350 years ago. When The Byzantine Empire was oppressing Jews many Jewish refugees found shelter in the Turkic Khazar Kaganate. The legendary Kingdom Of Turkic Khazars whose kings (Kagans) and a sizeable amount of people converted to Judaism and established a Turco-Judaic empire in the Middle Ages. The articles by Benjamin Braude and Peter Golden give insight in the Turkish Jewish relations during this period. Peter Golden summarizes the results of his research into the Khazars and their relationship with the Jewish religion. Benjamin Braude tries to disclose the Myths of the Turkish Jewish relations. "

Shalom people,
As u know, there are also non-Hebrew Jews living, Like Khazaria Turks. They are living a judaic life but with their own traditions and culture. You can learn more about it at : www.khazaria.com

My question is, what is the thought of Hebrews about them. Once i heard that extremist zionists dont want them to exist. one could say the reverse too.
Can u tell me how an average Hebrew thinks about this subject?

(maybe it wud be more fit to post these threads in World Relations section)
My other questions is about about Sabeteans, i think these are called convert. But they are the inverse form of Khazaria jews, since they are muslim but living according to Hebrew traditions.
What is Hebrews attitude about them again?
Thanx for reply, if u bother.
Greetings.

I am not qualified to comment on these groups -- they are news to me.

But I will say this: I think those of us who support Israel should welcome all groups that support, or are likely to support, tolerance between different faiths.

So, if there are any Moslems today who observe or honor Jewish practices it would be a good thing.

There are a few Zionist extremists who demand strict interpretation of who is and is not Jewish. But this is a self-defeating position for Jews. We are a relatively small nation and should not be anxious to exclude people.
