My letter is addressed to the officials of The United Nations, and UN Secretary General Kofi Anan.

Reference is made to your blasting Israel in regards to 'Illegal Occupation" on 13 March when IDF entered Palestinian territory to rout out terrorists.

Today, Reuters reports (Mar18) that you have accused Ariel Sharon of all-out warfare.

As UN Secretary General, I'm surprised that you are parroting Arab propaganda applied to Judea Samaria and Gaza. To refresh your memory, at the Middle East Insight Symposium in Washington on May 4, 1998, Hoda
Tawfik, from the newspaper Al Ahram asked James Baker, "What do you think is right? That these are occupied Arab territories and not disputed territories?"

Baker replied, "Theyīre clearly disputed territories. Thatīs what Resolutions 242 and 338 are all about. They are clearly disputed territories."

Israel has never made a declaration of war. This may sound surprising, but Israel has always seen itself as being in a state of war. Israel has experienced five wars and yet has never actually been at war. We have faced
a threat, we have fought for our lives, but we have never declared war and gone to fight for a justified issue.

Yasser Arafat and his band of terrorists chose the most vile form of combat - terrorism. Sane rationale does not exist for explaining how men and women can be instilled with a hate so passionate that it enables them to
exceed all boundaries of human nature and be willing to die simply so Jews
can be killed.

Neither drugs or brain-washing can produce such madness in sane people. This is a previously unknown phenomenon in manīs long and painful history of wars. Do you ever issue a strong worded condemnation against terror as vicious as we have experienced ?

Arab suicide bombers and killers are predetermined to a certain death. Worse yet is a Palestinian society that acclaims suicide bombers as martyrs while mothers openly pray that their children will be killed while killing Jews.
Countries such as Iran and Iraq provide financial rewards to the families of such suicide bombers.

UN incompetence in judging what Israel does to defend its citizens and Arafat's assertion that the terrorist centers within the refugee camps "camps de jure are under the sovereignty of the UN and operated by the
UNRWA" raises many important questions regarding the failure of UNRWA to make any effort to prevent the camps from developing into major terror operations centers.

UNRWA's approach has been to claim that they are only providers of social-welfare assistance - so much so that they assert they have no responsibility for the hate education served up daily in UNRWA-financed schools. That is not to say that UNRWA forces are required - rather that they have an obligation to protest vociferously the use of the camps as terror centers.

I'm not surprised by Ariel Sharon's brush off of your accusations since you adopted one-sided skewed view point which shows that you and the UN support terrorism.

I took it upon myself to inform you that we have reached a point that we question United Nations motives and its usefulness in general.

You can say one thing about Anan he's consistant.

The author is correct regarding the resolutions.
