Labor Party leaders asked more than 50 foreign ambassadors and charges d'affaires yesterday to send Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat a message that violence does not pay.
"Arafat's terror is not only the problem of Israel but of the entire Western world," party secretary-general Minister without Portfolio Ra'anan Cohen told the diplomats in a security briefing at the party's headquarters in Tel Aviv's Hatikva quarter.
The briefing was organized by Labor's foreign policy team, headed by MK Colette Avital, in order to give diplomats the party's take on security issues.
