View Full Version : Palestinian terror destroys peace talks (Again)

Even after Israel again moved its troops out of Palestinian-controlled cities, eased travel restrictions in the Palestinian population and planned on letting Arafat travel freely, today’s Palestinian suicide attack once again destroyed the peace process.
Today’s suicide bombing in Jerusalem follows yesterday’s suicide bombing on a crowded city bus in Northern Israel. These savage Arab attacks are not only an embarrassment to the US, which finally sent Zinni back to the region, but a clear message to the world that the Palestinians regard peace as an outcome that should be avoided at all costs.
By the time many of you will read this post, the events of the past 2 days will just seem like an inconsequential blip in the radar of never-ending Arab mass murder of innocent Jews.
But today, as the U.S. defines the al Aksa Brigades (part of Yassir Arafat’s Fatah organization), as a terrorist group, the underlying problem of the Mideast conflict is made clearer: The Palestinian desire to commit genocide against the Jewish population of Israel.
Any attempt by the US to broker peace is doomed to fail, until it includes moving aside and allowing Israel to conduct a full-scale war against Arafat and his terrorist organizations.

Actually, if the US wants to force other countries to stop encouraging, nurturing, harboring, and supporting terrorists, then the US must take a lead role in crushing all militant Islamic terrorist groups.
I know, it would put off the "moderate Arabs." What the US should do is not merely let Israel crush the PA, but provide the support needed to ensure non-interference of the other barbarians in the neighborhood. If, for example, Hezbollah starts firing rockets at Israel as the IDF cleans up the territories, then the US should drop a few dozen daisy cutters on s. Lebanon.
If the West doesn't wake up soon, the problem will be much harder to solve. The more the terrorists get away with, the more emboldened they will become. These people are extremely evil. While we hate to lose one life fighting them, they practically welcome loss of life. They believe, and not without some justification, that they will win in the end because we are divided, are worried about killing civilians, and even debate whether we are at fault.
Meanwhile, they would not hesitate to nuke NYC or put cyanide in the Washington, DC water supply if they could pull it off.

From CNN:
Secretary of State Colin Powell gave Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat a tongue-lashing Thursday after the deadly terror attack in the heart of Jerusalem and told him to arrest those responsible.
Is this going to help the situation? I don't think so.
From www.jpost.com
A group of US senators and congressmen slammed Arafat for failing to stop terrorism and pledged its full support for Israel's retaliatory measures.
This would help the situation. It wouldn't eliminate it completely but I'm sure that the WB and GS need a house cleaning.
A thought occurred to me as I was sitting here working. It appears that the US is trying to appease the Arab states in the region by coming down on Israel. This apparently is because the US wants to act against Iraq and they require support in the region for an action like that.
In whose interest is it to continue the terrorist attacks against Israel? It seems to me that Iraq might be feeding the terrorists organizations carrots. By doing so it reduces the Americans ability to topple Saddam.
Is Saddam putting oil on the fire and in the process buying time to develop a surprise of surprises for the west?
I REALLY WISH TO HEAR MR. FAIR'S AND RIGHT DEFENDER'S OPINION ABOUT THAT.
Is it a coincidence that ALWAYS immediately after each promising chance of peace talk, a palestinian terrorist attack rocks Israel? Not only that, but when Israel decides not to retaliate, ANOTHER attack occurs?
Ha? Is this a coincidence?
DOES PALESTINIANS REALLY WANT PEACE MR. FAIR? … I don't think so..

Right. The terrorists perceive Israel and the West as being too weak to win against the terrorists.
We get back to the issue of there being no deterrent to terrorism.
Israel and the West need to figure out what the deterrent needs to be. There are definitely answers, but the deterrents to terrorism contradict the "politically correct" norms that the civilized world has adopted, but which do not take into account the case of Islamic terrorism.
The only way to destroy the terrorist infrastructure is to accpet that civilian casualties are unfortunately necessary to reach the terrorists who are hiding among the population. If and when this is accepted, then the world will be finally free from Islamic terrorism. Otherwise, we can expect more 9-11's and more daily slaughter of Israelis.

Apparently there are 3 sleeper cells with small nuclear devises. THe latest media spin is that poverty creates terrorism... interesting conclusion. Bin ladin... not poor.... the 19 hijackers... not poor... arafat, not poor again. Considering poverty has been part of the human condition for millions of years... and that maybe 50% or more of the world population lives in poverty.... why terrorism hasn't been around for millinium... I'm going to tak a wild guess... but from 99% of terrorist activity, it seems to me that radical islam is at the root of terrorism and not poverty.
Don't let the media feed this crap.... its pretty obvious by now that the masses are indeed stupid, or very few people would truely believe Israel is at fault for all the problems in the ME.

yes, terrorism (especially Islamic terrorism) has no shortage of funds.
I have always wondered how they manage to fund-raise through the mosques and community centers from the dirt-poor Muslims who can barely feed their families, but apparently have more than enough cash to contribute to terrorist groups.
