The news paper “Al Quds Al Arabi”, published in London, reports today (Sep. 2nd) that Palestinian gov’t ordered its education system to “prevent any expression or symbol of the intifadah in the school”

According to the newspaper, the gov’t ordered teachers to prevent the display of pictures of Shahids (i.e. suicide bombers) in the classrooms and corridors of schoolhouses – a common custom since the beginning of the Intifadah. The gov’t also forbade the participation of pupils in demonstrations.

The Palestinian gov’t also forbade the distribution of propaganda material of the various factions within the schoolhouses and also forbade pupils from enrolling as members of these factions. PA Officials told the newspaper that violators of the new regulations will be subject to various sanctions, including job termination.

The new orders of the Palestinian gov’t come as part of the understandings reached after the publication of the roadmap. There understandings include a reform in the Palestinian education system, including modification of the teaching material.

As long as there are people willing to be duped, they will use any ruse to protect their terrorist leaders.

Notice how this comes NOT at the beginning of the "roadmap" - but after the threat of Israeli Retaliation AGAINST Arafat and Incursion into Gaza....while Arafat is trying to regain his US approval....

LOL....

Its a positive step...but the fact that you seem to ignore what caused this step, SharonBN...makes you seem a bit foolish, no?

I saw a report on a school in Gaza. The children learnt how "the zionists made a pact with hitler" to send them to "palestine" and "made out he killed jews" but really "no jews where killed". Th guy asked "is this in the curriculum?" he answered

"partly but we don't need a curriculum to teach the truth to our children. The authorities agree that we must tell them the truth".

Their hatred is so much incorparated in their institutions that only a miracle will show those blinds the light!

This is only happening because Arafat is scared. The moment he feels secure, things will start exploding all over the place... again.
