Relative newcomer to the forum with what I assume to be some easy questions for the veterans:
The group claiming responsibility for recent suicide bombings is often the Al-Aqsaa (sp?) Martyr's Brigade. Invariably the broadcasts I'm getting refer to this group as being "linked" or
"associated" with Arafat's Fataa (sp?) movement.
What - if it is known or established - is the link between Al-Aqsaa and Fataa.
Secondly, what - if it is known or established - is the link between Fataa and Arafat?
If there is a clear link between Arafat and Fataa, then what is the stated purpose and objective of Fataa (I mean OTHER than blowing up pizza parlours, weddings, buses and the like)? Why does Arafat need them? Are they some kind of personal security force or some such?
Lastly as a brief comment, it seems both sad and cynical that the suicide bombers are almost invariably young people. Doesn't bode well for the next generation of "negotiators".
