Off topic in a sense yes, but it's the general forum...I'll keep it short.
I would recommend everyone of you - no matter what religion you belong to, side of the political spectrum you're on or what color you are, to go see the new Tupac movie called 2pac:Ressurection.
Not only is it very entertaining it is extremely informative on his life and what he tried to do. It does contain some language, but not excessivly. This movie is a documentary made by MTV about his life and all he tried to do for the Black community as the poor in general.
Those of you who don't already, when you leave the movie theatre, you will respect this man for what he did in his life.

Seeing that I am an uneducated minor, does an absense of a reply in X amount of days imply a standard " you" or what.
Please educate me!
Cant speak for anyone else, but I happen to have been a great fan of Tupacs.
And look forward to seeing this myself.
Theres been very little in the way of Rap that has been good since the death of Tupac.
< btw, Im not a minor > :)

Glad to hear, and I agree with you to the fullest extent. Tupac was the best and I would venture to say that he will never be surpassed in his lyrical genius. This is not even to mention all he has done for the poor communities.

Personally, I prefer BDP (Boogie Down Productions).

What a genius. Unfortunately you won't be seeing his portrait next to MLK's or Malcolm X's any time soon.

Eh? Nope. I just don't think Tupac is the best "role model" being a gangster and all. I just think that there are people with better ideas than Tupac. It still doesn't mean he didn't make good music, which he did.

He never actually was a "gangter" until the last few years of his life, when later, he acknowledged his massive ego, and his failings(in the movie). Malcolm X was hardly himself any type of a role model....except for the Nation of Islam 's anti-Semitic, anti-White, and generally racist qualities.
I believe this particular film tries to center on his spirituality more so then his gangsta lifestyle.
Tupac, definitely had a certain 'something", that separated him from the rest, and I believe, that had he lived, his many talents were starting to shine, and perhaps he would have gone onto bigger and greater things.
Unfortunately, we will never know, but I wouldn't go as far as to suggest that he was comparable to someone such as Malcolm X, at the stage of his life that he was gunned down!
But, thats really all I can offer about Tupac, despite being very fond of him.
Oh yes, he was also becoming quite an interesting actor! :)
< last but not least I to preferred him FAR over Malcom X >
