Operation "Homat Magen" (Defense Wall) is coming to an end...

Israeli Military Operation "Homat Magen" (Defense Wall) which started after the passover massacre in Netania is coming to an end. when Secratary of State Paul will come to the region, or a few days afterwards, Israel will probably withdraw its forces.

The operation will have some achievements, but certanily will not root out terror.

Now, before Israeli forces begin to withdraw, is the time to establish a border between the west bank and Israel. a buffer zone with mines, electronic fences (iron fences, ones that should be welded to be broken) on both sides of that zone, motion detectors, and ofcourse military posts. this will dramatically decline the amount of suicide bombing inside israel.

If Prime minister Sharon withdraw the forces without implementing this plan. the only conclusion will be that he wants suicide bombers to attack Israel in-order to prove Yaser-Arafat in-abbility or un-williness to stop terrorism, in the expanse of Israeli Civilians being killed.

Right, this is a historic moment of determination in the global battle against Arab and Islamic terrorism, which threatens the entire world.

In the past the US, under intense pressure from the rest of the hypocritical world, has managed to save the terrorists from being eliminated by Israel.

Whenever Israel is about to solve the Palestinian terrorism problem, you can count on the US to ultimately save the terrorists. I have come to this sad conclusion lately. And I have also been noticing that this policy of saving the terrorists is being made behind closed doors in secrecy, and does not reflect the will of most Americans.

Most Americans disagree with the President and think that Israel should solve the Palestinian terror problem by military means.

Anyway, I hope that Israel concludes that it needs to put its own interests of survival ahead of the US supposed interests in appeasing its so-called Arab and European "allies."

Every country in the world acts in its own interests, and so should Israel. If it means a difference with the US, so be it. Friends need to tell friends the truth, i.e., that this is a matter of Israel's survival, and that this war against Palestinian terrorism will take more than 5 minutes to finish.

A true friendship like that between Israel and the US can easily overcome small differences of a few weeks here or there.

A poll indicated that a week or so ago but peoples minds change daily. The media is a powerful tool because it's an instant source for propaganda and there's a hell of a lot of anti Israel sentiment on the web, radio and TV.

I don't know how effective polls are but I just read a small poll from Scandinavia where 63% want sancions against Israel. I believe that must be higher in countries like Spain, Germany and France.

The economic fall out from Israels military actions is going to be staggering.

The Operation have acheived already it's goals that it could have acheive.
1. America is publicly considering other Palestanian Leaders instead of Arafat for negotiations.
2. Palestanians Know that no town or village is safe for Terrorists hide outs.

Do you really think that the terror can be rooted out?
As unfortunate as it may be, building a detonation belt, or even a car bomb is not so difficult, so even if all of west-bank and Gaza cleared from bombs and guns, as long as there is Iran and Iraq to sponser Palestanian Terror, and as long as there is no border, the Terretories will be filled again with bombs and guns.

The only way to solution is a border and a fence. as I mentioned in the previous post.
