Seems like the article hit a soft nerve.
I'm not against you my friends. I was just curious to have explainations.However , I got it all , you don't seem to be tolerant.Now bring up all the garbage that am anti-semetic, and am a muslim etc etc.

In case the article is distorted or the interview never happened (As you claim, without any solid proof), then am happier than you.If it's right,then the world is going to ancounter a big disaster.

I've been asked to remove this pile of anti-Semitic trash from the board, but instead I decided to remove only one part of a huge copy-and-paste job from some third-rate Arab site, and leave the rest to give you a flavor of this post, as well as of our esteemed new member, "Soul."

In looking at this garbage, I think of the venomous lies that are fed to an entire generation of gullible, illiterate and poverty-stricken Arab masses that huddle in their mosques listening to incitement to mass murder innocent Israelis.

Part of the extremist Arab culture of mass murder, is to villify Jews and Christians, as follows: Jews are oppressive blood-drinking monsters, and Christians are blood-thirsty Crusaders. And all the while, it is the Islamic extremists who call for a Jihad-genocide of the entire non-Muslim world. Ariel Sharon, in particular, is a favorite target of the Arab leaders, who dehumanize Sharon (and all Jews for that matter), in order to divert the anger of the Arab masses away from the true cause of their misery, i.e., the brutal and corrupt dictatorships that rule the Arabs with an iron fist.

Well, here we have a fascinating example of the sleight-of-hand used by Arab anti-Semitic propagandists. As usual, the con-man's trick does not look quite so impressive when you know how it was done.

To begin, you need to look at the source. Sure, the piece claims to be a 20 year-old article from Davar, a relatively obscure but prestigious Hebrew publication that has been shut down for years. So, you need to ask yourself whether this interview ever took place, and if so, whether it was, let's say "altered" to fit someone's political goals.

Let's take the case that this interview was actually conducted. It might be the case, because I vaguely remember that Sharon said that he did not care about what the hypocritical nations of the world thought, because those were the very same nations that
are responsible for the monumental suffering of the Jews.

Funny how the world did not change one bit since Sharon said that. The situation today is a perfect example that Sharon was 100% correct back then and he is still 100% correct now.

In any event, the only sources that quote the article today, so far as my research has come up with, are 2 Arab sites:

1. Dubai Photo Media (http://www.dubaiphotomedia.com/english/index.html), which is currently featuring such groundbreaking and credible news as "Israelis paint pictures in China? Intelligence Agents Or Art Students? By Paul M.

2. Islamic Party of Britain (http://www.islamicparty.com/commonsense/33sharon.htm), which appears to be our friend "Soul's" trustworthy and highly credible source of insight.

Seeing these as the sources, one has to question what was being copied-and-pasted by Mr. "Soul". Again, perfect material for gullible, ignorant anti-Semites, but not for anyone who has free access to information.

And so, to demonstrate how this is done, let's presume for a moment that we decide to post on some Internet site an "interview by Ted Koppel with Arafat 20 years ago, where there is no record of the interview but certain suspect sources, and let's see if we can craft some words of wisdom for Arafat:

"Question: Chairman Arafat, what are your goals for Palestine and how do you react to accusations that you are a terrorist?

Answer: Well, all we want is our freedom from Israel. This is the legitimate aspiration of the Palestinian people. To ensure (unintelligible) we have decided to become martyrs and to target Israeli childrens (sic). We carry out extraordinary feasts with their blood and say 'this is for the glory of Palestine'. I do not care what the non-Muslim world thinks of this ritual. We know that it helps our brave warriors of Jihad to fight the Jews and Crusaders more fiercely..."

blah, blah blah... You get the point.

And so, a legend is born on the Internet that is about as credible as the garbage posted by "Soul" on this forum.

Can't be done? Think again. It is done in the Arab world every day.

So now you know how credible the Arab sources are. When you see something that is quoted by an Arab that appears to be so hateful and so outrageous, be skeptical and do some research. Invariably, you will find the hole in it.

Anyhow... Soul must not be too very bright to think that the readers wouldn't happen to notice that the tone and style of language used in the interview suddenly changes compeletey with this one particular interviewer... the first and only time he let down his hair and spoke this way? Laughable. Same with all the so-called things that Washington, Franklin and other early Americans had REALLY said about the Jews... as if people even used the particular venacular back then.

Sad thing is... people who hate Jews love it and do believe it. So much for the public school system. Speaking of... I had a Jr. high school science teacher tell us that Jews are born with tails and horns. I was 12... and have to wonder if the rest of the Jewish kids in the class went home to ask their mom if that was really true. I had never heard of such a thing before.

But from what I can see, there's no proof that this mythical "C" is actually Sharon. As NewsGuy pointed out, given the absolute lack of any source other than Arab ones for the translation, this should be viewed suspiciously.

The "mystery" has been solved. No surprise, it wasn't Sharon who said these things.

However, a Denver newspaper editor made a column based on this Internet posting, and was forced to retract. As noted by Opinion Journal, however, the column has not yet been removed from his personal web site.
