Hi,
Where does Israel get its Oil supplies from? Would any arab oil embargo be fruitless or actually have an effect on Israel?
I'm surprised no one has answered this. I don't know for sure, but I think Israel gets it from Egypt (cheaper) since its quality isn't so good although enough.

Should have asked Jeeves :-)
"Until recently, with a significant offshore natural gas discovery, Israel has had essentially no commercial fossil fuel resources of its own, and has been forced to depend almost exclusively on imports to meet its energy needs. Israel has attempted to diversify its supply sources and to utilize alternatives like solar and wind energy. Traditionally, Israel has relied on expensive, long-term contracts with nations like Mexico (oil), Norway (oil), the United Kingdom (oil), Australia (coal), South Africa (coal), and Colombia (coal) for its energy supplies." - DOE
oops sorry white dove :D
I did say I wasn't sure.

Hi,
I'm new to this site, I just had to login in here and thus make 1 post.
I'm of Pakistani origin, living alternatively in Pakistan or the EU. I dont really have a true religious conviction, I'm kinda a Humanist or an "everyone is equal" thing.

It depends from day to day. Welcome anyway, fellow EU-citizen :-)

I have whole days where I refuse to use the Caps key as a protest against Capistan and Upper-Caseism.

LOL!
I've read many posts on this forum, and I get the distinct impression that you believe the EU to be racist and anti-semetic. Neither is true for the vast majority of the European people, whom I have spent my life with so far, and whom I thus know very well.
You'll get your occasional bigot, every nation has its share, Israel will have its racists, Pakistan its, GB its ect ect, but no where in the world will you find a place where human life and well being are afforded greater value then in the EU.

If you want more, I'm sure Israel would be delighted to supply you, since I believe Israeli prisons are too full since this last operation. Many muslims extremists in Europe would be more than happy to learn something from them.

Isn't sending these terrorists to various countries like sowing seeds in many fields? What kind of harvest waits in the future?

On the contrary, EU Muslims or European Muslims in general are very peaceful. All these terrorists, and thats what they are, are from the ME and North Africa.
The USA has terrorist Jews and Muslims there, its a case of bad people and not a reflection of any faith.

A couple of WTCs, I'd say. I'm sooo happy to have the guys right in front of my house. Soon we will all become Israel down here, but without the security establishment.

To the best of my knowledge the majority of the Muslims living in the EU are of ME/North African descent.

Ah, it is nice of you to state, even if only indirectly, that there are no "terrorist Jews" in Europe

Not all N.Africans ect are terrorists. There are terrorist jews-that clown who stormed a mosque, killing 29 ppl-is that not terrorism?
If not, then why is storming a cafe. Both are civilian places.

I'm not sure how I'd classify that beyond (simple) mass murder. No different really from that young man who gunned down all those teachers in Germany.
on edit - Baruch Goldstein is the person you allude to, yes?

Still I think it's so kind of Evolution not to make claims of Jewish terrorism in Europe, don't you?

If the motive is violence with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons we call it terrorism. Was there a political motive in the case cited?

I don't know. In Baruch Goldstein's case it seemed he was a disturbed person who went on a killing spree for personal reasons. At least that's what I think. Whatever he told himself about his motivation I don't think I'd put it in the same class as John Brown's raid on Harper's Ferry (US pre Civil War reference probably vague outside of America).
BTW what's the local sense of the 4 settlers who were arrested for purportedly attempting to bomb a school or hospital?
