Sorry, avatars have been discontinued, folks

I have 20 posts, now, but I still can't have an avatar from my own archives. I only receive this message: "If you have more than 10 posts, you may also specify your own custom avatar."

Where's the problem?

I have the same problem with over 1100 posts.

No custom avatars/method for choosing/uploading link.

Mediocrates: "FWIW ummah has always had horrendous performance problems. Post length is not limited (ok a million characters or something like that) plus they allow complex (animated) avatars. And the hardware is probably undersized."

Rivalry brightens up things! I hope.

Maybe the admin is just scouting out some really cool LOTR avatars (she said hopefully).

I also keep getting this message: "The administrator has disabled the use of avatars."

We want an explanation!

Doubt it. It's a server performance thing. Also a security thing.

Doubt what?

The parent server doesnt have control of Vbulletin, the feature just has to be enabled, I'm not sure why its not though. Could be a bug, or a mistake.

Sorry, the feature hasn't been available for so long that I've just forgotten about the whole thing. I'll edit the original message.

Thanks for reminding me.

Avatars are not the most important thing on the forum, but they might be spicy. I often got positive remarks about my avatars on the Ummah forum. Though in the end happiness was probably too much for them, since I was banned...
