You mean you don't like the carte blanche the Op Ed page editor gave to Yasser Arafat on February 3rd?

Very good.
This follows a Jewish boycott of the L.A. Times
Let this be a strong message to the media that we demand fair coverage of the Arab war on Israel.

That's nothing - I have been for a long time a frequent visitor to commondreams.org. Before late year I tended to agree with the general tenor of the Progressives there. I have to say that after a recent drop-by today I'm disgusted and actually more than a little upset that the Progressives in the US have gone so far over the edge that they will lose all reasonable credibility with the rest of the world and its views.
They've pretty much stopped talking about Progressive issues like child labor, pollution, globalization, economic development, criminal and drug policy and have instead started publishing one screaming diatribe after another against the US and against Israel. This makes the BBC and the Guardian (UK) pale in comparison. You simply can't click a link that doesn't have either 'Bush' or 'Sharon' and the phrase 'homicidal war criminal' in the same sentence. When I go their Community page I see dozens of reasoned and thoughtful organizations that work hard on Progressive issues yet commondreams.org itself has mutated into something only an editor at al-Jazeera or the Egyptian state radio could be proud of. It's really a sad day for Progressives.

"For despite Israel's overwhelming military advantage, we possess something even greater: the power of justice."

I'll paraphrase- its the Jews fault. They close their borders to us so it hurts us economically.

The article was stupid. How can another nation be responsible for the employment of anothers citizens. It is like Mexico claiming we (I'm an American) owe them jobs and should open our boarders to more illeagal immigration (they haven't and don't make claims like this).
Israel can trade with whomever they like. If the Palestinians make good workers, then let them in, but if the military has to close the boarders or has to make people go through searches because some other Palestinian dips--- blew himself up, then too bad. if they want people to be able to work in Israel, they ought to be sure no one is going to blow up the restaurant he/she is lunching at.

I've noticed this too. When Nader was running for president, his stance against Israel (more or less) seemed to be way under the radar screen. "Progressives" either seemed to ignore or support this. That's just one other example.
It's always easier to set up a black and white dichotomy than to work through complex, real-world issues. Perhaps what has happened is a regression to one such dichotomy (Jew=evil, but now more subtly expressed as Israel=evil) as a relief to actually trying to solve the problems of persons who are actually being oppressed the world over.
It is unfair to boycott the N Y times.
a thoughtful paper like N Y times is a pro israel and was never
partisan with the arabs.
we must tolerate and accept the various thoughts and issues
made by other differnt sources .
a one eyed look at the world could make our world and our dreams dwarf and retarded.
all the political issues in that paper is viewed with a good
measure of objectivity .
only we must be tolerate.
"a one eyed look at the world could make our world and our dreams dwarf and retarded."
Well said (except for the grammar bit... :) )
There is a difference, however, between "news reporting" and "editorializing". The "news reporting" needs to be honest and as free of opinions as possible. Editorials, on the other hand, are there precisely as opinions.

Yeah, let's boycot the N.Y.T. That will help. Maybe we should bomb their HQ with F-16's are just bulldozer them.
NYT is a great newspaper. Why do you want them to do? Copy-paste from the J'Post?
Why don't they want to boycot CNN? Or as some like to call it : ZNN :D

How can it be that the notion of boycott is so ****ing alien to someone from the EU? What happened to the right of assembly and protest? Did you flush that one down the crapper too?
