UK Jews protest radical sheikh's visit
By DOUGLAS DAVIS
LONDON
Britain's Jewish community has called on the government to ban radical Islamic cleric Sheikh Yussuf al-Qaradawi from entering the country to address three conferences over the weekend.
Egyptian-born Qaradawi, now based in Qatar, has encouraged Palestinian terrorism and called for the killing of Jews. He is regarded as the spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood and has been banned from entering the United States because of his support for terror.
Protesting the planned visit, Neville Nagler, director-general of the Board of Deputies, said Qaradawi's "abhorrent views make him an unacceptable visitor to this country." He was confident Home Secretary David Blunkett would prevent Qaradawi from "sullying our shores with his intolerable presence."
Qaradawi is to be the guest of the Muslim Association of Britain, which aligned with the far-left Socialist Workers Party in creating an antiwar coalition.
In addition to opposing any form of Muslim-Jewish dialogue, Qaradawi has expressed support for wife-beating and the execution of homosexuals.

It’s ironic isn’t it, it appears some, if not most Western Democracies possess a death-wish; or at the very least, suffer from the disease, Political-Correctness. By allowing entry of radical Islamic cleric Sheikh Yussuf al-Qaradawi, into the U.K. is an indicator that the U.K., for one, suffers from both ailments.
I am more than certain; however, if it were a prominent Israeli… the U.K. Muslim community would being screaming like banshees, and undoubtedly get their way.

Controversial cleric visits UK
The cleric's supporters regard him as a moderating voice
A controversial Muslim cleric who is banned from entering the US has been given permission to visit Britain.
Egyptian-born Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi has been accused of making anti-Semitic remarks and supporting suicide bombers.
Labour MP Louise Ellman said it would be "an outrage" to let him visit, and create "enormous security problems".
The Liverpool MP accused Dr Al-Qaradawi of encouraging women and children to be suicide bombers and seeking the destruction of Israel.
Mrs Ellman is calling for his speeches to be monitored.
Banned
But the Muslim Association of Britain, which is hosting Dr Al-Qaradawi, regards him as a moderating voice.
The organisation claims that his views on suicide bombers are irrelevant.
On its website, it said Dr Al-Qaradawi arrived in London on Monday for a week-long visit during which he would take part in a number of functions.
That included chairing the European Council of Fatwa and Research, which will open under the auspices of Mayor Ken Livingston at the Greater London Assembly in London on Wednesday, it said.
He is expected to preach at the Regents Park mosque in north London.
Dr Al-Qaradawi, who is based in Doha in Qatar, has been banned from the US since 1999.

Mayor Livingstone of London is an Israel basher and antisemite.

Mayor Livingstone (Red Ken) is a certifiable nutter... if, I was a Londoner, I'd be storming the barricades in protest. Nevertheless, this anti-Israel/Jew was re-elected; it doesn’t speak nor bode well for those whom voted for this wanker.
If, the UK persists to let these radical Mosques, radical-imams and terrorists continue their malevolent ways; moreover, it seems, they too will share the same fate as those across the channel.

There are 350,000 Jews in the UK. So the job of making space for them in Israel and North America is half as difficult as that of France. I'm afraid that current course and speed the UK will fall under a reign of [Islamic] fascism Oswald Mosely could only dream about.

Isn't that the truth, a horrifically sad one at that.

You should have watched the stupid Mayor of London, Livingstone welcoming the Imam at London airport! Disgusting.

I think if I had seen it, I would no longer have a television. What drives me mad, is the fact, that people voted for this git… and it seems will continue to do so. Does anyone know the number of terms this wanker can serve? Once he’s done his dirt-bag terms, no doubt, they’ll elect another wanker, cut from the same cloth.

So? Anything happen or just more handwringing? Were there people in the streets throwing bricks and bottles at him? Did anyone lay down in the street and block traffic? Anyone bring posters with photographs of terrorism victims?

Silent protest won't cut it with the thick-skulled, anti-Semitic wankers like 'Red Ken' and his ilk. You're right, Mediocrates, it's time things changed and I speak of myself as well. The lunatic-leftist a-holes make themselves seen as well as heard, whilst we, or most of us, attempt to be civil. There's something wrong with this scenario. I'm sure the photo-ops were plentiful for the likes of the BBC and other biased media.
