A little prohibitive if you have to subscribe, but I've signed up for a 30-day trial and I will try to read as many of the papers as possible in that time period. There is a lot of stuff on the Middle East, but also other regions of the world and general economic policies. Many people with a university connection may already have access.

It has working papers, conference proceedings, etc. from a number of well-known institutes and think-tanks.

World Conflict Quarterly - http://www.globalterrorism101.com/

Stratfor (mentioned often on other threads) - Strategic Forecasting - http://www.stratfor.com

Questia - it would be great if the free trial membership allowed you to see more than a few pages of the full-length books, but I can understand why it doesn't.

Encyclopedias:
Encyclopedia Britannica - www.eb.com - free trial membership again

Encarta (basic encyclopedia, but good for a start) - http://encarta.msn.com/

This is not specifically Israel-related, although some of the resources will help with finding related information.

Jewish Virtual Library (http://www.us-israel.org) is one of my favorite sites.
It has a detailed section of Jewish history and every bit of information some how involved with Israel.
Its "Myths & Facts" section is probably one of the best places on the net to get "facts" on the Israeli-Arab conflict since they are backed by sources.
