There is a lot of stuff on the Middle East, but also other regions of the world and general economic policies. Many people with a university connection may already have access.

It has working papers, conference proceedings, etc. from a number of well-known institutes and think-tanks.

Jewish Virtual Library (http://www.us-israel.org) is one of my favorite sites.
It has a detailed section of Jewish history and every bit of information some how involved with Israel.
Its "Myths & Facts" section is probably one of the best places on the net to get "facts" on the Israeli-Arab conflict since they are backed by sources.
