Does the new code skip a re read or update from the unread pointers list when hitting 'back'? I think so. Going 'back' from a post to the unread list does not refresh the list.

Probably just another bug introduced from changing the code to fix the other bugs.
That's what you get for writing entirely procedural code for huge software :p
JK, Medio are you sure its just not a browser cache problem?

Ok, where is this back button located?
Is this the issue you mean? http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/bugs.php?do=view&bugid=3698

No. Returning to the unread list used to perform a new read and refresh the list so that all the posts from the first read were listed but only the icons to point you to the remaining unread posts were displayed. Now returning to the unread list by hitting back in the browser skips the reread and displays the list out of the local cache. This is new behavior.

It doesn't seem to do that for me, unless I'm misunderstanding you. For me there was new posts in US Politics, I clicked on the topic with the 'new posts' icon, read it, clicked the forum link in the breadcrumb trail, and the topic list now showed no topics with 'unread' status.
