Although I'm not sure if Clinton is as bad as Annan, he is an enemy of Israel. More than a thousand Jews were killed because of his policies and his bullying of Israel during the 90's. Among other things, Clinton played a huge role in demonizing Israel, both in press and on the international political arena. Let's hope this scumbag doesn't get any more chances to hurt Israel, and by extention the Jewish community.

PAUL NOWELL, Associated Press Writer

CHARLOTTE, N.C - They may both be out of office, but Bill Clinton (news (http://us.rd.yahoo.com/DailyNews/manual/ap/ap_on_re_us/helms_clinton/14167883/*http://news.search.yahoo.com/search/news?fr=news-storylinks&p=%22Bill%20Clinton%22&c=&n=20&yn=c&c=news&cs=nw) - web sites (http://us.rd.yahoo.com/DailyNews/manual/ap/ap_on_re_us/helms_clinton/14167883/*http://search.yahoo.com/search?fr=web-storylinks&p=Bill%20Clinton)) remains the ultimate boogeyman for former Sen. Jesse Helms.

In a fund-raising a letter for his senatorial library, Helms invokes the specter of the former president leading the United Nations (news (http://us.rd.yahoo.com/DailyNews/manual/ap/ap_on_re_us/helms_clinton/14167883/*http://news.search.yahoo.com/search/news?fr=news-storylinks&p=%22United%20Nations%22&c=&n=20&yn=c&c=news&cs=nw) - web sites (http://us.rd.yahoo.com/DailyNews/manual/ap/ap_on_re_us/helms_clinton/14167883/*http://search.yahoo.com/search?fr=web-storylinks&p=United%20Nations)) after Kofi Annan (news (http://us.rd.yahoo.com/DailyNews/manual/ap/ap_on_re_us/helms_clinton/14167883/*http://news.search.yahoo.com/search/news?fr=news-storylinks&p=%22Kofi%20Annan%22&c=&n=20&yn=c&c=news&cs=nw) - web sites (http://us.rd.yahoo.com/DailyNews/manual/ap/ap_on_re_us/helms_clinton/14167883/*http://search.yahoo.com/search?fr=web-storylinks&p=Kofi%20Annan)) retires next year.

"I'm sure you might agree that putting a left-wing, undisciplined and ethically challenged former President of the United States into a position of such power would be a tragic mistake," wrote the 83-year-old Republican, who left office in 2003 after five terms.

The Associated Press obtained a copy of the letter Tuesday. It contains a petition asking President Bush (news (http://us.rd.yahoo.com/DailyNews/manual/ap/ap_on_re_us/helms_clinton/14167883/*http://news.search.yahoo.com/search/news?fr=news-storylinks&p=%22President%20Bush%22&c=&n=20&yn=c&c=news&cs=nw) - web sites (http://us.rd.yahoo.com/DailyNews/manual/ap/ap_on_re_us/helms_clinton/14167883/*http://search.yahoo.com/search?fr=web-storylinks&p=President%20Bush)) to "rebuke all efforts by Hillary Clinton (news (http://us.rd.yahoo.com/DailyNews/manual/ap/ap_on_re_us/helms_clinton/14167883/*http://news.search.yahoo.com/search/news?fr=news-storylinks&p=%22Hillary%20Clinton%22&c=&n=20&yn=c&c=news&cs=nw) - web sites (http://us.rd.yahoo.com/DailyNews/manual/ap/ap_on_re_us/helms_clinton/14167883/*http://search.yahoo.com/search?fr=web-storylinks&p=Hillary%20Clinton)), John Kerry (news (http://us.rd.yahoo.com/DailyNews/manual/ap/ap_on_re_us/helms_clinton/14167883/*http://news.search.yahoo.com/search/news?fr=news-storylinks&p=%22John%20Kerry%22&c=&n=20&yn=c&c=news&cs=nw) - web sites (http://us.rd.yahoo.com/DailyNews/manual/ap/ap_on_re_us/helms_clinton/14167883/*http://search.yahoo.com/search?fr=web-storylinks&p=John%20Kerry)), and every other liberal in Congress to push for Bill Clinton to become Secretary-General of the United Nations."

A spokesman for Clinton did not respond to a call seeking comment. Clinton has said nothing publicly about wanting to lead the U.N.

The Jesse Helms Center in Wingate, 30 miles southeast of Charlotte, has a lecture series that has attracted speakers such as Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice (news (http://us.rd.yahoo.com/DailyNews/manual/ap/ap_on_re_us/helms_clinton/14167883/*http://news.search.yahoo.com/search/news?fr=news-storylinks&p=%22Condoleezza%20Rice%22&c=&n=20&yn=c&c=news&cs=nw) - web sites (http://us.rd.yahoo.com/DailyNews/manual/ap/ap_on_re_us/helms_clinton/14167883/*http://search.yahoo.com/search?fr=web-storylinks&p=Condoleezza%20Rice)) and former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. Its Web site describes it as a "nonpartisan organization" that promotes the principles espoused by Helms.

Annan appointed Clinton Tuesday to be a U.N. special envoy for tsunami reconstruction and to help resolve rebel conflicts in two of the hardest hit countries, Indonesia and Sri Lanka. The appointment will begin next month.

Annan and Bubba have a lot in common, and must say, I agree with Helms: I believe this is the first time, I have done so.

Jesse Helms is a psychotic racist psychochristian babbling freak on a leash who can take his pre Civil War, aw shucks if we could just murder all the queers and Northerners... world view and shove it up his cracker a**. If God almighty himself came down from heaven and announced ne was a Democrat, Jesse would convert to Islam.

Yep, as said, first thing I'd agreed with the KKK'r! By the way Bird is another one, sure he burned his white sheet in the mid 40's. They both make my skin crawl, as do a few others, hell, several others, dang, countless others!
I still think that kafi and Clinton will be a disastrous tag-team! How about Hillary? Nope, she's preening herself for 2008

Who knows? I know I'd like to see someone in charge over there who wasn't suckled at the teat of corruption and genocide. Someone who came from privilege in a corrupt blighted country, got educated in England and US, never returned home and works hand in glove with the most brutal racist dysfunctional governments in the world and calls that 'tolerance and freedom'.

Sure Clinton is no special friend of the Israelis having welcomed Arafat to the WH more times than any other world figure by far. But to that I'd ask, if the current administration wasn't halfway up OPECs lower colon do you think they could have applied a little more pressure on them to join the modern world?

No doubt about it, and that ticks (being polite) me right off with this present administration. They know the Saudis are dipping their oars in and sponsoring terrorism, and yet, they still mollycoddle them. You can get a nasty dose of something sleeping with the enemy; nonetheless, our leaders continue to do so.

Mollycoddle with them? We are just buying oil from them and selling them billions of dollars worth of various products. Politicians may call it a great friendship, but the way I see it, it's just a business relationship, and nothing more.

We’ve been scratching their backs and them ours with our ever growing consumption of oil. We mollycoddle, yes, if the Saudis weren’t in our camp (in some ways at least), we’d be paying much more for filling our cars, and everything else for that matter. GW and company aren’t the first to do so, not in the least, nor, as some say, solely the Bush family.

To me, at least, the Saudis may be a stabilizing force for us economically. Many would like to screw us by quadrupling the cost of a barrel. However, on the other hand when it comes to political stability in the ME; the Saudis have been playing footsie with the Terrorists from day one.

The sooner we get the lead out, and get serious about alternative fuels; we can scratch our own backs.

Maybe we should have our own oil for food program with them. They sell us oil on our terms and we will continue to sell them food. Price goes up, people go hungry. I'm ok with that.

They are neither the first nor the last, and Dems are as fine about doing business with the Saudis as the Reps. But my point here is that we aren't some kind of great friends, as the lunie left likes to misrepresent. Also, I'd rather have them sell the oil to us than to the Chinese.

Clinton never forced Israel into anything, it was the Israeli government, and in extention the Israeli people, who wanted to make peace with the Palestinians.

I agree whole heartedly with you there, Kettle Whistle; then again, they, the lunatic-left, wouldn’t know the truth if it hit them smack between the eyes. I was thinking of China’s guzzling of oil, too, when you mentioned it; I thought, so true. Hell, I curse the Lunatic-Left every hour on the hour, now; it’ll be every quarter hour. I do wish though, that the Saudis would come down hard on terror. The more they play both ends against the middle, it’ll turn on them and bite them on the a**! It has to some degree, however, ever so slightly.

Oh please - he gave a very public platform for every screeching crackpot Jewhating screed that spewed from the PLO. It was only at the very end that Clinton understood that Arfat didn't want peace.

Yes Helms-Burton 1996 is from Jesse Helms and Dan Burton. Google it.

A racist anti-Semitically-minded loud mouth is actually right up your alley. Just add a bit of revisionism and the two of you would get quite cosy sharing a bottle or two of cheap French wine and trading stories of the evil Jews controlling the world.

Clinton never forced Israel into anything, it was the Israeli government, and in extention the Israeli people, who wanted to make peace with the Palestinians.

Israeli people wanted to make peace with Arabs since Israel's inception. But they did not approve Clinton's conditions, and neither did most of the Israeli government.

after two bottles of cheap French wine we would be killing each other. BTW I think you supported Helms-Burton, I would do whatever I can to violate it. If you want advise how to go to Cuba without being persecuted by your government just ask me.

Israeli people wanted to make peace with Arabs since Israel's inception. But they did not approve Clinton's conditions, and neither did most of the Israeli government.

They do approve, even more than what Clinton and Barak approved, according to polls.

Bush too supports the Palestinians and a two-state solution, he even promised more money to the Palestinians than Clinton ever did.

The trouble is, the rich princes might be ok with that too.

Yeah but there is a finite number of sheiks to lynch from every lightpole in the land. Maybe it really is time for revolution.

But would they blame the princes and revolt against them or would they just be told it was America's fault and hate America?

Who really cares? They can eat or they can perish. Call it our land for peace program. Stay the hell off our land and you can have peace.
