A string of death threats against senior political figures has now, for the first time, reached the Israel Defense Forces as well.
Brigadier General Ilan Paz, the head of the IDF civilian administration in the West Bank, received a death threat this week from a far-right activist.
The letter, which is the first of its kind to be sent to an IDF officer, threatens Paz with "death by the hand of G-d," and accuses him of being a "leftist" and prioritizing the needs of Palestinians above those of the settlers.
