This shocking development reported by MSNBC.com (http://www.msnbc.com/news/677951.asp):

Palestinian infiltrator shot and killed three Israeli students Tuesday at an Orthodox Jewish high school in the West Bank settlement of Itamar, near the Palestinian city of Nablus, settlers and rescue service officials said. The attacker was shot and killed, they said.

HEZI KATOA, a rescue service worker, told Israel Radio that three students were killed and another wounded by gunfire.

“We found one wounded student who had been hit by a number of bullets in the chest. An army doctor pronounced him dead,” he said. “We heard about two other students wounded in the school compound. When we got there, we found two of them lying behind the building with bullet wounds all over their bodies. All our efforts to revive them failed.”

Settlers said the attacker entered the settlement and opened fire near the high school, where teen-agers study and live before entering the Israeli army. The rabbi who heads the school said the students came from all over the country.
The Israeli press reports that the boys were 14 year-olds. One was shot while in the yeshiva study room, and the other two were playing on a basketball court when they were gunned down by the Arab terrorist.

Today another Israeli was shot by a Palestinian murderer while driving in his car on the road between the town of Ofra and Jerusalem.

so now the suicide shootings as back as well. Now here's the "funny" part, and by funny I mean horribly "depressing idiotic and ridiculous" . The logic in Israel is that the next big suicide bombing will most likely trigger Defensive Shield part 2.Now I ask would it not make sence to go there now and actually prevent the murders from occuring? Does the fact that Palestinians failed in their attampt to murder hundreds last week mean that a preemtive strike is no longer warranted? It appears that the currenct incursions (which are a step forward from the pre Passover aimless retaliations, however)are not very succesful.

That's a good point. Just because the effort to blow up the gas plant failed to kill thousands as planned is hardly a reason the retaliation should be less.

Yes, it makes perfect sense for Israel to do exactly what's in its best interests, like every other country in the world does.

It doesn't matter what's good for Arafat and what's good for Hamas and what's good for the EU, etc. The only thing that matters is what is good for Israel.

The rest of the world knows very well that eliminating the Palestinian terrorism infrastructure at any cost, is also best for the world.

CNN has been blatantly pro-Palestinian/anti-Israel from its inception.
