Many people don't know but today Israel is an Oasis for High tech and bio-technology...
Although Israel has never been over 70 years old, let alone 100....we always had a vision of the "KADIMA", progress...
we have opened up a new fronteir which we can offically say we are a key leader in Bio-technology....
Just not so long ago, in rehevot...Israel scientists with the help of bio-technologicall genetics, made the first ever chicken without feathers...yes, i know it looks disgusting..but think of it..it is low fat.... :) perfect for people who love to keep diet and have blood problems...but also...... Its something that has to do with peace.
As a science hooligan myself, the first minute i looked at the picture on TV and heard that it was meant for hot temperatures...i felt myself, "MAN!! you know who can really use one of these rooster babys??? SAUDI ARABIA"
theres my 2 cents :)

Me & you can go into business and make a fast-food chain with these new creatures. We'll give Mcdonalds a run for there money!!!! :)
By the time I see my chickens, they are already "naked" :)

Anything that is low-fat and healthy would do great here in California.
We live on Garden burgers, soy, granola, yogurt, fruits, vegetables, etc., so a bald, low-fat chicken? Bring it on! :)
To confess, I buy anything Israeli I can, and the naked chickens will be no exception. :)

Don' laugh me out to the Nut house here. Please be open minded.
In Chechnya, the T-90 with it's Shtora -1 Active defense system did'nt prevent 20 or so such Tanks from being completely destroyed. Similarly, for so called "Laser warning recievers" from conviently failing in the field.
Download any Chechen Video of Operations and you will notice all are split second attacks that the Crew did'nt have a chance to react for self-defense or for Active countermeasure to work at all.
One day I am read about the remarkable abilities of Sharks and how they detect living organisms through the faint electro-magnetic current given off by a simple heartbeat. Quite Amusing!
Then it hit me. What if a Main Battle Tank had a similar sensor to
Ampullae of Lorenzini in Sharks able to detect the presence of a living organisms. The vehicle could warn the crew before that potentially Hostile Humans are in the Area and take the right action before a attack happens leaving the crew entirely defenseless.
Far-fetched, but a rather curious idea.

There is a lack of a proper warning system agianst roam bandit gangs.
The Merkava MK4 has a TCCS system, but is going digital, saying the enemy is located in this area and that area in set piece units taking into accout wandering groups of maybe even 2 Bandits acting alone waiting in a building or the side of a road for a Army vehicle to come alone so as to ambush it. I has seen that over and over agian in Chechen MPEG footage.
The Crew needs a way to realise a aprroaching danger is very near so action of some type can be taken to prevent being forced into a position of helpless.
In all the footage from WWW.KAVKAZ.Com, ADS and LWS system prove worthless as the ambush take place from just a couple metres distance.

Any future Tank in my reasoning would have.
1)Anti-mine protected undercarriage and advanced active anti-remote mine detonation system.
2)Close-in hostile act prevention detection system of some kind. And ADS and LWS in encounters/Attacks involving longer distances(Over 2Km)
3)Barrel launched ATGM's agianst arial targets i.e Helicopters.
4) VL SAMs like Stinger control fired in some way.
5) Roof 40mm Grenade launcher Anti-personel weapon.
6)No Auto-load because they are vulnerable as shown in Chechnya and a well-trained loader can out do a Autoloader three time over.
7) Top protection not only agianst Tanks and Top attack ATGWS, but Bandit's firing RPG's and ATGW's from build levels.
8) A main gun with elevation to meet those targets head on(a MAJOR problem in Chechnya) and a shell with enough power to blow out the Bandit's Building position.
9) Protective side armor and ERA( Israel has followed some Russian practices like Dust shields, Gun ATGW, :D Flying Main Battle Tank :D , ERA protection, ADS systems, but not side ERA covering the side Hull and Side Skirts like on the T-72B.)
10) Two close-in defense weapons(IMI 60mm Mortar???), each protecting the tank over a 180 Degree Arc. Invaluable in Urban Terrain.

I really frown upon instant hit-and-run attacks on Armored vehicles uses by Guerilla groups, for those attacks prove absolutely devastating in some cases and seem to be unpreventable.
Out of 3800 dead how much of that is attributed to surprise remote mine or ambushed on the likes of BMP's, BTR's.....etc. I would say in the high hundred if not a thousand or more.
And seeing all of what mother nature has in detection or technology has for detection, why has'nt their been a counter made to proven those types of dealy attacks.

Uses a diode amped Niobyium Yttrium Aluminum Garnet (Nd:YAG) laser to ignite ordnance from a distance of up to 250 meters
That's what I'm talkin bout.

The Laser sounds good agianst planted Mines where the warhead is always active. But remote mines, where a warhead is actived via radio signal or even cell phone signal would it be effective.
No! more is definitely needed. Imagine a vehicle noticing something is up, before a crewman does much like a living thing does through various means ie ground vibration, Electric current sensing, echo location....etc.
Echo Location might have promise for Bats and dolphins use it to locate food sources both moving and stationary.
Or even a muilt-tiered system, can't scan for very close human hostiles one way, then switch to another.
What I am suggesting is a tracker like the one in the SCI-FI movie Aliens, able to identify Human threats near or on top of you. But for Tank crews, maybe a HUD display at the drivers and commanders position, the display would show a central icon on the screen , that being the tank and a Circle around the Icon representing the immediate(area directly around it) 360 degree surroundings of the tank, obviously the Screen and information will adjust to the types of surrounding in some way, like say fields, forest or Urban building, once the Tanks organic detecting sesors detect a living being(S) a attention alert of sometype is given to the Commander and Driver and all knowldge of the locations number of Individuals are presented instantly to all crew members, who are able to to ACTUALLY take some beforehand action. Such a system would be useless if multiple indpendent groups cannot be detected and tracked. So that will have to be included.
Just alittle Idea to prevent the Chechnya scenario being repeated over and over and overs.
