Did you see the comments in the "talkback" tho ?
Thus:
"This article is just another in a series of left-wing hype, trying to convince the public that there is "no reason" to protest the disengagement, and that the residents will move voluntarily.
Wrong!
1. The settler leaders quoted above do not represent the majority of families in Gush Katif.
2. This "new proposal" has been bandied about and rejected before.
What the government wants most is for those of us who disagree with disengagement is to shut up and stay home. We will do neither.
Plus there is this .....
" Environment minister objects to relocation of settlers
Environment Minister Shalom Simhon said Tuesday he objects to the relocation of the settlers to the Nitzanim area, as it would prove detrimental to natural habitat in the region. The Nitzanim sand dunes are the last undeveloped territories along the southern coast, he said. (David Hacohen)

So part of the Quartet's partition of Israel involves, in theory, planting foreign troops in the West Bank and/or on the Green Line and/or manning the perimeters between Jewish conclaves and the Palestinians. Those foreign troops are to be a mixture of EU and Arab army regulars. I for one would love to see the Israel's reaction to Saudi Army troops in Jerusalem ostensibly there to protect Jews, or Egyptian army units deployed along the to-be-built corridor connecting east Palestine with west Palestine (Gaza). As long as those extremist Feiglinists are gone, it's all good, I guess.

Good....You certainly should not shut up and you should not stay home. Since it is obvious that your own Israeli politicians cannot be trusted...then certainly you cannot rely even one little bit on political types from any other nation!
The thought has crossed my mind that the rather new North American phenomena of reality films could be adapted to a town where you believe that there is a good chance of thwarting the efforts of those who wish to force the settlers to move. I don't mean to offend you...but it has been said that the American media is more concerned about one American, (and I hope perhaps Canadian) life, than about the death of one hundred, or even a thousand people from just about any other nation!

We Nova Scotians have an alarmingly high level of unemployment....it is not impossible to visualize that perhaps we could put our heads together and perhaps come up with a win-win plan for everybody concerned!
