or perhaps the number of jews that died in the Ottoman collapse?

and what about the many people who lost there lives under Stalins Purges? how many jews died that?

15-20 million Russians died in the Lenin/Stalin Purge Onslaught and in a nation that had around 5 million jews alone out of a 220 million population, some might have been jews...no?

Sure. Jews fought in Russian, Ottoman, German, French, British, American, Austria-Hungarian, Serb and even Greek armies. There were Jewish civilians who definetly suffered as well but I am not aware of any targeted killings of Jews. I don't know the numbers.

Russian revolution is a different story.

There were never 5 million jews who lived in USSR. The most it was around 3 million. And were did you find the 15-20 million Russians who died in "Lenin/Stalin Purge Onslaught"?

I don't know the numbers of those of Jewish descent who perished in the repressions of the 20s and 30s. It's definetly not millions and the Jews were definetly not targeted as such. I will look for the numbers.

They were saved by the French, British and the Japanese who ordered that there must be a referendum to partition the land. When the vote in the first area was 59% for the new Austrian state, they could go home. :cool:

3 million? Thats probably the victims of WW2. Afterall, how many jews lived in or before WW2 in Ukraine/Russia/Belarus and such... right now, theres like 900,000 (?) Jews living in the former CIS, i belive...

But freethinkers, aristocrats, not to mention the pogroms... there must have been many victims!
