Israel's General Security Service today announced that it has "collapsed" the Hamas infrastructure in Samaria, which is seen as being responsible for the murder of 130 Israelis, mostly civilians.
The GSS estimates that out of 104 Hamas terrorists in Samaria, only 14 are left who are not dead or in Jail. According to the GSS, all top-level Hamas leaders were killed by Israel in pinpoint strikes and in the course of Operation Defensive Shield.
At the same time, the GSS warned that the Hamas is desperately trying to recover by recruiting fresh suicide bombers and that the Hamas infrastructure in Gaza remains largely untouched. The Gaza wing of Hamas has been attempting to carry out acts of terrorism in Israel, and it is regarded as the source of the Sheffield Club suicide bombing in Rishon Letzion.
Below is the happy picture, which shows the structure of the Hamas organization in Samaria.
The dark blue tags show Hamas members killed before Defensive Shield. The yellow tags show Hamas members arrested before Defensive Shield. The green tags show Hamas members arrested during or following Defensive Shield, and the red tags show Hamas members killed during or following Defensive Shield.
The cities of Samaria where the Hamas members were killed or captured include: Schem aka Nablus, Jenin, Tulkarm and Qalqilia.
