Well, having just heard from one of our members and having checked with our technical server administrator, we sincerely apologize.
Today, our e-mail server "agent" software was upgraded to a newer version, and that process set some problems in motion.
It seems that there were some "trapped" e-mails generated automatically by our forum software, mostly notifying members that there have been new posts in threads they subscribe to.
These "ghosts of e-mails past" were sitting in limbo, in a computer queque. When our software was upgraded, these trapped e-mails were released.
This was unintended and again, we sincerely apologize, and hope that all our e-mail processes will run smoothly.
I think that server "upgrades" should be renamed to something else. :o
