Hi guys.
I am watching the world cup 2002 england vs argentina. Hopefully, there aren't any football hooligan.

I am in s. korea. Nice and sunny! :D

Morpheus- Do you like the game?

Takeo-France will lose!

Just ignore me, if you don't like this thread. I am just too excited about football fighting than israelis-palestinian fighting . :p

In Israel, the Mondial is as a big event as the rest of the civilized world (i.e. all but the U.S :))
Yesterday, my good friend and I sat and contemplated the surprising results of the early stage.

My guess for the semi-finals is
Argentine-Italy or France-Italy

Well. Britain win against Argentina.
I think the semi finals will left with Brazil and who ever. France is already lose one game, and tide with another. France is no match for denmark. Denmark got a good team.

:D

I think I will paint my self as the british, when i go to Osaka. British got two good players Beckham and owen.

Anyone have an early guess about who will win the Mondiale?

Well, I hoped Argentina would have won, it would boost the moral of the Argentinian people after their economic downfall. But anyway, the Britons fought ... and won. So they diserve to go to the second round.

As a Belgian, ofcourse, I hope my team will win, but the Red Devils are not strong enough. The French team is not doing well, but that's a consequence of their arrogance. I'm hoping on a final between Argentina and Italy.

Oh, and congratulations to the US. 3-2 against Portugal, impressing victory if you know Portugal has some of the best players in the world in its team. Maybe now the US will also starting to like football - or soccer - and not look at it as if it were a sport for women and children.

Luckily there's still football. As Orwell would have stated ... sport is like a war without weapons (well except for those darm hooligans ofcourse).

Now we've seen football matches between Iran and the US (98)--> Iran won :D , Argentina and England, France and its old colony Senegal ... sports can do a lot more than diplomatics and politics. I'm looking forward to the match Belgium-Russia. In 1986 (Mundial Mexico) we already won from the 'evil empire'. I hope we can do that again.

Morpheus,
I think the game at june 16th, sweden vs argentina. It will be a good game.

Belgium,I don't see any excitement in their team.

Last night match, it is exciting. (argentina vs england)

Sweden always beat England all these years. That is funny.

You're right, our team is not that wonderful, but anyway, we are there, so we might as well enjoy the games.

Brazil is looking strong after pulverizing China.

I can't really say why the U.S. doesn't love soccer as much as football, baseball and basketball, but I agree that if the U.S. wins, it would be very good publicity.

1 the field is too big
2 there are no time outs
3 there is no such thing as an insurmountable 0-0 tie
